"Smi" skills

Post » Sun Jul 25, 2010 12:46 am

So...It is said that the mag has a screenshot of the skills page, and on the page there is a skill starting with "smi". most assume this to be smithing, which it probably is. But this forum could use a little levity with all the new info flying around and getting everyone all worked up discussing the things they do and don't like.

And so I am making this thread, where we can discuss possible skills that could start with "smi". Any and all thoughts are appreciated, so start talking about anything that comes to mind.

I thought of "Smiting", it would give you the ability to add elemental damage to your weapon attacks or maybe improve the strangth or your finishing moves,

I have a feeling its Smithing, which would be the renamed armorer skill plus maybe a few more features.

Probably Smithing. I'm sure it will allow you to create better and more powerful weapons and armor.

Im thinking that smithing will include the old armorer type deal, wood cutting, mining, farming, and perhaps cooking

Guys it's meant to be a thread for a light hearted look at what else it could be. Doesn't anyone read the OP?

My guess is that it is SMILING, this affects your luck with the ladies and grants bonuses to speech. Although another skill is LOOKING HARD which also affects you luck with the ladies and grants bonuses to intimidation.

Most of you are missing the point of the thread. Most everyone knows that it is most likely smithing, so lets try to come up with other interesting "smi" skills. Just for fun :D

Smirking. The higher the skill, the more irritatingly smug dialogue options are available.

First of all, everyone thought of smithing.
Second, the ability to add elemental damage to your attacks comes from enchant.
Third, strength is spelled just like how I just spelled it.
Fourth, smithing may improve your weapon damage or change your finishing move. As always, almost everything at this point is speculation.
Fifth, no other logical choice if they talk in the article about our new ability to smith.
Sixth, just to answer the question, it's Smirking. Now you don't have to stand there looking like an idiot when you tell someone you're going to kill them.

Just not enough words in the English language starting with 'smi" for the this thread to be any more fun.

Doubtful, with only eighteen skills. Woodcutting is probably under smithing, cooking under alchemy.

No, you are doing it wrong.

It is "Smirking" and replaces Morrowind's Taunting. With high smirking level, with just a gesture and you goad opponents to attack you.

I don't think it's smithing because it would be in the wrong category. Smiting sounds reasonable.
