Smithing or finding Vulcan Glass Armor?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 7:20 pm

Hey guys. Is Smithing really a must to get a glass-set (full); or is there a reasonable chance of bying/finding it once you reach lvl, lets say, 30?

You can craft Glass and you can also find it as loot, though the higher tier the armor, the harder it is to come by.

As for "Vulcan glass" I have not seen such an armor at all.

you start finding it around level 25 or so at random. im at 28 and have found a few items so far, nothing enchanted yet. I also dont buy from shopkeepers, so not sure what level they start having it as rare items.

Christ, it′s a common nickname for the glass-armor-stuff in TES since Morrowind, since the magical glass-stone its made of can be found around the Red Mountain mostly (for a special reason). It′s some lore-stuff, not everybody must be aware of this.

Thanx however.

I think every 10 or so levels a new set of armor pops up (Dwarven around 15, Ebony around 25, so on) for looting and buying. You don't NEED to smith. But it's easier to get stuff sooner.
