My mom used to make a yummy candy that tops my list. Thing is, I no longer recall what it was called. Nor can I describe it well. It was a solid candy without nuts or other filler, baked in a low sided flat cooking bowl/pan. Not a hard candy but chewy with lots of body. Sort of butterscotch in color, though I don't recall it having a strong butterscotch taste. I want to say it contained no chocolate, but might be wrong. As mom made 'em, they were about 1/2-3/4" high out of the pan and however wide she decided to slice them. Mom left us ten years ago, so isn't around to ask. My brother, who happens to be visiting me at the moment, remembers the candy but like me can't describe it. (He agrees on the Butterscotch color and thinks there was caramel in the mix.)

I've not eaten candy in so many years I no longer recall what the two in question taste like. I never cared much for candy with nuts in it, but when I did eat hokerd candy Baby Ruth was a good as any. I assume PayDay has nuts too, but recall nothing of it save the name.

Regular, plain old Nacho Cheese Doritos. Traditional.

edit: ah, the threads were merged. Confusion abounds.

Sadly, they discontinued it. That's why Cool Ranch is numero uno for me.

Whoa... thanks for the link. This does indeed seem very like what mom made. The color in the lighter toned pictures is spot on. I recall that some batched turned out soft and chewy while others were firmer and a tad crumbly, as the various photos show. And yes, it did have a milky flavor. I might or might not have been this exact candy, but it was surely a derivative of it. She never called it by that name. I doubt she knew it.

Your two threads about potato chips have been merged.
We don't need a separate thread for every brand.

Chips/Crisps are another food I gave up years ago. I was once quite addicted to them. I preferred regular over ruffled. I ate standard flavor chips as often as not, but enjoyed a good many flavored varieties. Smaller bags never satisfied me. My main gripe with chips was that they so inconsistent. One bag would be yummy, the next burnt, the next overly greasy, the next stale, the next over or under salted, and so on. Is this still the case?

Doritos are corn chips, not potato chips :P

My absolute favourite potato chip flavour is good ol' Salt and Vinegar. Out of your list, regular. Tbh, I don't like most chip flavours, especially not the sour cream and X ones. Cheese flavoured doritos, though, are really good.

Never tasted either of those, but there has never been a candy bar that could top a lion bar. Best candy bars there are, felt this way since I was a child. <3 Undying love for lion bar here.

This is more of a p.s.a

We can now freely drink the nectar of gods while looking as if though we just finished a rigorous work out routine. Because its only acceptable for me to drink capri sun pouches when my kid is around.
