Hey guys, quick question for you about something that's confusing me a little.

I'm finding that many of my sneak attacks on Draugr don't register as sneak attacks but as normal attacks.

This happens even when:

I am behind them, crouched
The crosshair eye is completely closed
I am in the shadows
I have muffle-enchanted shoes
I am using daggers, so am being silent with the attack

The eye will literally open at the moment my dagger connects, and the attack will register as a standard hit.

Is there something I'm missing here? I am playing a Khajiit and Sneak is at 92.

I just checked and I don't have this problem. My sneak attacks all count even when they haven't stood up

A bug maybe? I have no problem sneak attacking draugr...

A buddy of mine is experiencing the same thing but yeah, it could be a bug if you guys aren't having it happen at all.

It only happens with melee attacks... and even then, I don't have it often. HAVE had it before though. Think it was due to power-attacking. Admittedly I don't power-attack much as it is kinda clumsy... especially when dual-wielding.
I guarantee you it doesn't happen with archery shots.

I've only managed sneak attack on archery..not good enough for close in work. Haven't seen this yet..

I have this problem, but with arrows and NPCs (like bandits). The "eye" will fully open as soon as the arrow hits or as soon as I release the bow and I'll lose the stealth bonus. The act of loosing an arrow alerts every enemy regardless of distance, causing them to charge my position while the arrow is still mid-flight.
