Sneak damage modifiers

I am just trying to understand why there is no damage modifier for using magic while sneaking. My archer can one shot a mob that takes my mage 5 dual casts to kill, while both are sneaking. Why would an arrow do more damage if the mob doesn't see you , it seems to me an arrow in the chest will do the same damage whether they see it coming or not, so why exclude magic from the stealth system? Would it be difficult to program or just too powerful if using an AE spell?

How does someone not see a giant ball of fire?

Besides, it's supposed to represent getting them in a critical location (just a representation) so pure sneak dudes stand a chance.

Kind of hard to believe when magic attacks are so large and glowing. Though I do think a stealth magic attack would be a cool idea.

Magic is not stealthy, at all. It's loud and bright. There is no quicker way to get yourself detected then using a fireball, for example.

Sneak attack also implies that, since you are unseen, you have more time to gauge your strike and precisely hit vital organs. Thus doing more damage.

You can't really do that with spells. They just blow up in someones face.

Only NPC magic is powerful, as I said in original post, my archer can one shot things that my mage takes 5 dual casts to kill.
