Well through my experience of this glitch it doesn't matter what I'm wearing or if I have any gear on at all. They still hear me and if they turn and look at my general direction they spot me in seconds. It's like I have bells attached to me that won't stop ringing lol.

I been home for a while now and can't seem to get anything to work. No matter what I do or try it seems I alert them almost instantly. Anyone else have any ideas how to perma fix this?

I cannot seem to fix my save, it seems my sneak is perma broken or something. All the same results, nothing works. Anyone else have any ideas?

I have tried setting sneak to 99 then bumping. Un-equipping all items then setting sneak to 99 hard saving and loading. Setting sneak to 99 transforming to werewolf inside my home and let it wear off then hard save re-load then gain 100 sneak and it didn't work.

This is really annoying because my orignal clean save I xfered over doesn't have this issue, it has to be something with the way I modded this save. Anyone care to help or look at my save to see what they can come up?

Have you tried sneaking with no armor? I'm at level 95 and have found it inconsistent. Just did the Nocturnal quest and was getting noticed very easily. Forsworn also seem to have bionic ears. Dreugr and bandits seem OK for sneaking but sometimes the 30x damage does not work, like they are detecting me in the middle of an attack.

Yup I have tried no armor and with armor and with muffled armor, nothing is working my sneaking on this save is all but broke. I'm gonna have to go back to my fresh save from the xbox 360 and jut start over. It's not like I made any in-game progress I just had several hours of modding and customization done.

I also have this problem. I was sneaking fine, for the most part, up until I hit 100. Now it almost never works. I am a vampire so maybe having 100 plus that vampire sneak bonus is doing this. As I am running a thief/assassin build this is completely game breaking for me. FIX THIS BETHESDA! I shouldn't have to mess with console commands and tinker with saves to use a single skill correctly. But knowing your track record with these things (Fallout 3) I'll bet this will never see a fix.
