Sneaking Realism error

Post » Thu May 19, 2016 11:56 pm

I recently downloaded Sneaking Realism and activated it. When I launched morrowind, an error pop up appeared, so I closed the game and checked my Warnings.txt and found the following:

One of the files that "SneakingRealism_En_v3" is dependent on has changed since the last save.

I'm pretty sure that I never changed anything after installing the mod, and I instantly launched Morrowind after activating it. Saving the game won't remove this error. The mod is working without any problems but having this error every time I launch Morrowind is annoying. How to fix this?

SneakingRealilsm_En_v3 is a relatively old mod. You are getting this message because the Master Files Morrowind.esm and Tribunal.esm have changed since then. If you really want to remove the warning, then you'll have to use the TES Construction Set (CS).

Steps

1. Open CS

2. Select the menu option "File", then "Data Files".

3. Scroll down the list of TES Files to find the mod

4. Double-Left click on the square next to mod name. You do not need to select any of the Master files.

5. Press the button "Set as Active File". The Status of the mod will change to "Active File"

6. Press "Ok". If any warnings appear, just press ok (or cancel if you have "AllowYesToAll=1" in your Morrowind.ini file).

7. Select the menu option "File", then "Save" (or you can press the "Save Plug-in" icon)

8. Close the CS

Hope this helps.

Doing that in the CS will change the timestamp of the esp, and therefore your load order, so it's recommended to just use the "update the masters" option in Wrye Mash.

How do I update the masters using Wrye Mash?

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. I just had to click the mod, then click morrowind.esm in the File tab to the right.
