So I got my sniper rifle now, but where can I find some mods for it? Silencer, weight reduction, and maybe even a bigger clip? I'd appreciate the input!

I do not believe there is a mod for a bigger magazine. Yes, there are mods for a silencer and reduced weight. Check Gun Runners and the 188 trading post. Their inventory cycles every couple of days, I think. Good luck!

Check Alexander at the 188, the Gun Runners, and Mick and Ralph's in Freeside, they're probably your best bets. The arms dealer at McCarren's worth a look too. Though it's in the lap of the gods whether or not anyone has any in stock, if not you can wait three days to refresh their inventories and try again.

The mods you want are the Carbon Fibre Parts and the Suppressor

The first time I saw the Gun Runners inventory, my jaw hit the ground.

Good luck with that. Took me forever to find the suppressor. NOBODY was selling it for the longest time. Then last night I finally came across TWO of them being sold by the gun runners. Picked myself up one and got one for Boone too as an early Christmas present. He's so happy now!

Don't bother installing the "Carbon Fibre Parts" mod. Currently it does exactly nothing. The gun will still weigh 8Wg, even it the display says 3.

Maple Stock for the Cowboy Repeater is also the same thing. The mod looks nice so it's still worth installing. I have a hunch the other mods that lower weapon weight are just as bugged.

There seems to be a lot of this going on in this game.

Makes you wonder how much better it would be if everything worked as advertised.

On all four of my playthroughs, sniper rifles and their mods started showing up in merchants inventories at level 12. I've never seen them earlier. Maybe inventory lists are unlocked at certain levels. Anti Materiel Rifles started showing up at level 16.

I'm level 19 though, almost 20

I checked the wiki. It says the suppressor and the carbon fiber parts are sold by the Vendortron at Gun Runners and the Arms Merchant at the 188 Trading Post. I've seen them at both places before. Have you checked the Arms Merchant? Just keep checking those two places every few days.

My carbon fiber parts also do nothing. Sniper Rifle still weighs 8 pounds. That svcks.
