I personally would just be happy with the sniper rilfes they got in the game. of cause with some twiks like. A fully molded kevlar cabonfiber stock and body with the Walther Wa 2000 Thumb grip style. a fire sellector from Semi to full auto, standard and none standard rounds (also includes sonic and sub sonic rounds), A hiden bi-pod somewhat like the Styre Scout, a heavey barrel with threading, and a day/night scope with thermal imaging.

I don't know if you can tweek the short rifles like that :blink:

The UMP 45 (Galactic SMG) does look pretty much like the original as well. So do the MP9 and MP7 (Hockler SMG).

Lol maybe they can't compress those ones any further then they currently are.

And it is also interesting how those weapons are considered SMGs when they are PDWs and the M4A1 an SMG when it is a carbine assault rifle.

Not quite, all of the SMGs are SMGs or PDWs. The weapon that you think is the M4 actually appears to be based off of a colt 9mm SMG that was built to mirror the M4. http://www.sobanj.org/smg_01.jpg

The average player doesnt know the difference between an SMG and a PDW, so most games just avoid the term.

For game balance, it also creates another issue; PDWs have nearly the power of a rifle but the role of a sidearm. Compare the MP7 and the MP5. The MP7 wins pretty much across the board. Smaller, lighter, more powerful, more accurate, less recoil, better penetration.

There is also the fact that PDWs have a very large spectrum, much more broad than rifles or SMGs, making it more difficult to use the classification in game. Compare the MP7, VBR-Belgium, and the Five-seveN. MP7 is close to being an SMG, but a bit smaller. Five-seveN is just a pistol with a proprietary round. The VBR is basically a fully auto pistol.

What role should the PDW class weapons play in a game if it could include all 3 of these weapons? The MP7 is too powerful to be a sidearm, but the Five-seveN is too weak to be a primary.

Skip to 0:30. That is a Sniper rifle.

That's just a CG trailer from last year E3 and again sniper rifles are now light rifles that won't preform OHK.

It's still a rifle. Long Range OVK rifles wouldn't work in Brink by the looks of it.

I just want my one-shot rifles. I don't care for sniping capabilities.
