I was talking to a player the other day who's ID was 'sniperghost' (or something) and he was saying how much he loves sniping. In fact, that's all he does. He even went as far as calling himself a 'sniper' and wants to join the Marines and become one. Well I know it is only a video game, but as an 8yr. veteran I found this insulting to say the least.
My only problem with sniping in video games is how easy they make it. And now, they've added a Compound Bow that is just as easy??? With first hand experience, I can tell you it is extremely difficult to hit a moving target (even at 50m), yet in the games a monkey could do it. And hit a moving target with a Bow??? Forget about it.
The truth is Sniping is a skill that takes years to get good at, and only a handful ever master so why make it so easy in games??? Just seems silly.
Bottom line, they should make aiming a sniper rifle a skill that you would need to practice and level up to get better at.
