Like I said, I'm playing on the pc, with 30 ping to the server. It's not lag that is making it take 3+ hits to kill someone -not- in armor mode. I really don't understand why it's hard to understand. The guns damage is 115. Even if we take the fact that it's supposed to ignore armor out of the equation, it should not take more than 2 hits to kill someone anywhere on their body because snipers don't have damage drop off like all other guns do. But then the fact that it's supposed to ignore armor, making that irrelevant anyways..
Call it bad hit detection if you want but what it comes down to is that It's broken. End of story. I don't want it to be OP I just want it to work consistently.
Who told you it does 115 damage? I assume you got that from Kirson's guide? While his charts are great and informative, I never trust his accuracy with damage output. Kirson claims it ignores armor, it doesn't, nor does the DSG-1 for that matter, they might have prior to patching but the description for Gauss rounds given by the game itself states they instantly drain armor, not ignore it. The third shot is unexplainable, I've had no problems when hosting or on a three bar connection so maybe it's something relevent to the PC version, possibly caused by packet loss or something along those lines?
