Snow Throat

Post » Mon Dec 20, 2010 6:28 pm

The following assumption is not based on lore and I highly doubt there is anything supporting this claim, this is a purely hypothetical assumption, so don't come to me with "it isn't said anywhere that...", because I already know.

I wonder if Snow Throat (at least if that's the Tower in Skyrim) could actually be part of a whole metaphorical/metaphysical (?) representation of a digestion system. I need people who know a good deal about lore to give counter arguments or supporting arguments, and in the latter case might also suggest what that digestion system (or it's elements) represents.

The only point I have is that the Tongues live on top of it, which - you guessed it - is the part in the digestional system coming before the throat. (Side question: is that master Tongue - or what title he may have - the Guard of this Tower?).
The thing I'm unsure about is that this theory might be completely in contradiction with the Tower-being of Snow Throat, though I doubt it is.

Thanks in advance

If I've read the Aldudagga correctly, half of Snow Throat was removed, or rather bitten off, by Alduin after the Greedy Man tried to eat him or something (dont' remember the particulars of that event right now). The entirety of Skyrim itself is called the Throat of the World because "http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/children_sky.shtml."

Recall that Nords revere voice and breath as indicated in the linked text.

Seeing as the Nords hold wind so dear, I honestly don't think Skyrim resembles a digestive system outside of mentioned references.

My dear Proweler, considering how watchful the moderators have become lately, I'm not going to touch that with an 8 inch pole.

Please don't tell me the end of the digestive system is Imperial City. That would explain far too much.

I think the extensive city sewers say enough.

Tamriel is full of this kind of stuff. The West Lung of the East something like that, the Heart of the World, the fact Cyrodiil like a lady parts. I guess Black Marsh would be the ass.

I can see these. But I don't know about Skyrim being a DIGESTIVE system.

Haven't put much thought into other provinces, such as Elsweyr or Summerset. May not be anything there, for all I know.

If they all do, I guess Black Marsh would be the real personification of "swamp ass." Heh...

It might make sense, considering that Nirn is a female aspect if I recall correctly.

And Black Marsh is most certainly the [censored] of the world.
