Socially awkward: Imperials vs. Stormcloaks?

Post » Fri Apr 12, 2013 8:10 pm

I was sleeping at my farm once.

It was about 2am when I heard some scurrying outside.

I got dressed and went out to my front porch then I casted Candlelight.

I saw about 5-6 Stormcloaks in my cornfield chomping on my crops.

They turned around and hissed at me then scattered in all directions.

Damn Stormcloaks.

Yup the imperials totally don't use any of their own race in their legion, there has never been any imperial legion members with the rank lower then knight, nope never not once.

Yeah, and we've all heard of the mighty empire that was started by an Imperial and not a filthy Nord.

So then why do the Imperials obey an empire that was founded by a Nord?
Could've been a Breton, even an Atmoran.

You're just mad cause Imperials are better at life. It's hard having to hold all ours states hands all the time.. we need breaks every so often.

Better at life? Is that why their Empire fell to pieces without divine intervention and dragonborn?

He wasn't even alive yet when the Atmorans were a race.
He was a Nord born in High Rock.

Atmorans are nords and imperials. its not a separate race. Thats why ysgramor is in sovngarde.

Breton is more likely since he is from high rock, Atmoran not so much since Atmora is a dead frozen wasteland and there hasn't been a boat from there since the first era and even then the boat was filled with tons of dead Atmorans.

We actually don't have proof he was a nord, his original name really isn't much to go by.

Both sides have their upsides and downsides.

I find on the whole Empire NPC's are more agreeable than Stormcloaks (on a whole, there are exceptions on both sides).

Sounds like you got yourself a nasty infestation. Should get an exterminator ASAP. Stormcloaks breed faster than rabbits. Be wary of any Talos shrines, they're attracted to it like flies on ****.

Being born in High Rock doesn't make him a Breton.
If a Breton was born in Morrowind, is he a Dark Elf?

No, no. He was a Breton. He was born in High Rock. Everyone knows you're a Breton if you're born in High Rock.
Even if you have scales, a tail, and look, sound, and smell like an Argonian. If you were born in High Rock, you're a Breton.
All mudcrabs in High Rock are Bretons, too.

They eat babies! This is a known fact studied after much replicated experiments from yours truly, http://www.troll.me/images/john-marston/aint-your-fault-but-you-eat-babies-thumb.jpg.

"You eat babies!"

Lol'd hard when he said that in-game.

So that must mean that Dunmer with the Argonian name in riften is totally an argonian because, he has an argonian name after all. There is a difference between race and culture, a breton following a nordic culture instead of a bretonic culture would of course have a nord name which he later abandoned for a Colovian name.

Oh... you know... there was that whole affair with Mehrunes Dagon himself showing up for a quick tour of the city. No biggies. Dremora make great tourists!

You mean after the Atmorans died out, right? We have a source that claims he's a Breton. I'm not just going to disregard it. It's the same as the other book.

"was an emperor of Nordic descent who became one of the most famed figures in Tamrielic history."

Yeah, TOTALLY not a Nord.

And what are said sources?

While that is a good point, evidence is pointing to him being nord. He was likely a nord born in high rock, but people cant take a nord being talos because people hate admitting that Nords are just awesome.

And? As soon as they lost their divine emperors, they crumbled. They're nothing.

Ill answer your question with a saying. "What goes up, must come down". I support the Empire and Ill do so until it's breaths it's dieing breath. I doubt it will ever come to that, the Empire ain't going away any time soon. It will simply fall under new management and these dime-a-dozen rebellions will all be crushed. Even at a quarter power, the Empire is still far greater than any army in Tamriel.

PGE shouldn't really be trusted, and seeing as that propaganda spread so fast and is still used by the citizens of Tamriel. Again, it's still under debate all we know is Tiber was human in origin but we don't actually have concrete evidence to suggest he was a nord.
