Soda Can / ArkTactical Silencer

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 7:57 pm

Been a while since we had one of these threads... I'll say what I always say...

The pre-order bonuses are unique items, with unique stats. And they AREN'T going to be unlocked through normal play.

The Soda Can/ArkTactical silencers probably have different equip speed and damage/accuracy modifiers compared with the regular silencer - they won't be better, they'll just alter stats in a slightly different way to the regular version.

And as for the bonuses not being released to other players, all that's been said is that SD "have no plans" to release them - this leaves them with the option of saying "well at the time we HADN'T planned to do it..." - it doesn't guarantee that the exclusives will REMAIN exclusive forever. Just that they ALMOST certainly won't be released straight away to everyone. I'm not saying they definitely will be, just keeping in perspective that they're not saying an unambiguous "We will never release the pre-order bonuses outside of pre-ordering" - they're leaving themselves the option of changing their minds.

They'll most likely release them later.

Gigawatt Blades were special edition exclusives in Infamous, and were later released free as DLC. Not the same devs or publisher, but it makes sense.

And when the game was about to be released, they said that they "have no plans to release the pre-order exclusive later" - sound familiar?

By the time I got around to buying Infamous, they'd stopped charging for that particular "exclusive" DLC.

Saying that they have no plans of releasing it is a far throw from saying they WONT release it.

Which SD Supposedly did say.

Find the person who told you that.

Ask for a link.

I've done this multiple times.

All the links where SD supposedly said "not going to be released" are either "no plans" quotes or "the only way to get them is to pre-order" (put emphasis on the word "is" - they've still left an opening, and it's the same one used with a Assassin's Creed Brotherhood pre-order bonuses - which have been released since). SD have not, anywhere I've heard of, or anywhere anyone I've spoken to has heard of, stated without question that the pre-order exclusives are going to remain exclusive permanently. EVERY TIME they leave it open to interpretation.

GOOD. Cuz i preordered SpecOps. I wouldve gotten the Psycho but the revolver is ugly to me. I only like Long-Barrel Revolvers, not Scrub-Nose.

Plus you must factor in that with the Spec-ops pack, I'm sure you can get a silencer for that weapon and also a scope for the revoler as long as both weapons have attachement points in the respective spots.
