Soft vs Hard cover guide?

Post » Sun Sep 25, 2011 4:36 am

does anyone think it would be worth getting the hard cover off of amazon seeing as it comes with a downloadable map tool with it and comes a few days after the games release?

I'm confused as well. I thought we could just buy the CE guide and have all the map jazz and everything.

If you're gonna get it, get it from Amazon not from gamestop. Amazon's costs $25 while gamestops costs $40
But yeah, I feel that it's worth it if you want it. It looks damn gorgeous and it's only like $9 more expensive then the regular edition

I'd go with the hardcover for sure. I'm preordering at my Gamestop where I already have the CE preordered and i'll be picking them up at the midnight launch.

Well, I bought the 5th Anniversary Edition and I have to get the game and the guide on the receipt if I want an extra 10$, and if you buy them together you get 10% off the guide... plus, I don't want to wait a couple of days longer to get the guide.

Why would you EVER get a game guide for an Elder Scrolls game? That ruins the point of the game.

Only if you use it before playing. I often read them after I've sufficiently beaten the game as they are usually pretty well written.
