I always run as a light, the smg's are just so deadly its hard to even try a assault rifle. Med to close range just rage on people, if their long range just throw a flash and close the distance. If the AR's got a bit of a damage boost id probably switch to medium, but as of now the smg's are just as good and not worth losing the speed.

I find that there aren't enough Solders running about dispensing ammo for their teammates, so I made my own. Every character I have weilds the Balpdaun as their primary now, but my Soldier has a sniper rifle, the second one, whatever it is. Since he can refill his own ammo the low capacity for snipers isn't a problem for him.

Soldier is my Secondary. My first character was a full-on Soldier type because I usually play the 'breach and clear' role in other games and the Grenade abilities of the Soldier I was really drawn too, but when I was playing the game I saw a lot more potential in other classes as I matured and now it seems like being a soldier is a bit of a waste. The only reason I'd consider going back to a Medium is if I had a decent Soldier with Lobster (which I love) but for now I'm happy for it to be my fall-back-on class when there's too many Operatives / not enough Soldiers.

I have a few setups tbh, but about 50% of mine are Medium w/ AR + SMG.

One I have is a Heavy with Galactic and Bulpdaun SMGs, doubling as a medic. Another I have is a Medium with the Drognav and Ritchie, doubling as Engineer.

Yes, because bots are so hard to snipe.

Medium

Lobster
Kross + extended mags + foregrip

Kross for fighindividualidual enemies, or backup.

If there are many enemies, I Lobster, Molotov, Flashbang, then Grenade + Frag blast + Frag damage.

Discombobulates most mobs.

Yes, because bots are so hard to snipe.

Enemy bots at higher ranks are, they never stand still for more than a second. At least humans understand the importance of standing back and briefly observing the battlefield, taking cover or quickly scanning team mate's conditions...

I've only run Light soldier so far, but I'm planning on running a new one, trying out Medium and Heavy builds - will get back to you on what I end up preferring.

I love the soldier class... but i have actually fallen in love with the Heavy version shotgun (Hjammerdein), that thing is a BEAST in its own right coupled with a damage buff + health/Kevlar your practically a walking tank.

catch a group of people/bots off guard its game over, that is of course if the user knows how to operate the shotgun.

How do you operate it! I found it weak compared to mossington.

Hjammerdeim is weaker per-shot than the Mossington, but if you line your first shot up right and double-tap, you can 2-shot most enemies almost instantly, and even if they survive, they'll only barely do so, and they will be near death and knocked down. You can also control your fire rate to keep a group knocked down in CQC for longer than it takes to kill them - this is even easier to do if you're using it with backup.

Getting used to the timing, when to double-fire, when to control your fire rate... THAT's the trick of using it well. I can handle it decently (it's part of how I got through the Be More Objective 2 star at level 9), but I won't say I'm great.
