Solo instances

So on the beta weekends I played through the fighters and mage guild questlines that lead you to a dungeon/instance that I think you can only do solo. I really liked the bosses in those, quite interesting fights.

However, the dungeons/instances themselves were quite small and the mobs had the same (dumb) "mmo AI" that I saw in the multiplayer parts of the game. Also the level design seemed set up for groups- large wide hallways, mobs just fixed in one spot etc.

Looking back on that experience I am wondering are these really solo instances? Are there more such dungeons as we level? If so do the latter dungeons have more of a single-player focused level design (eg, dark narrow tunnels, traps, puzzles, relatively long, "intelligent mobs"- you know more like Skyrim or other single-player rpgs)?

Thoughts?

Dungeons are really viable for 2 man teams (when able to).

Yeah, that sounds like a good challenge for group content, but there seem to be some instances that you HAVE to do solo (eg in the fighters and mage guild questline).

I just wondered if there were more solo instances like later on, and if so are they longer and more fleshed out (see OP).
