Solstheim how to kill Carius plus Need storage

Post » Fri Jun 27, 2014 6:40 pm

Carius is one shotting me. I can't get close enough to hit him. Plus I need storage!

i have no house and really wanted Severin Manor, but I can't get it without killing Carius to start with and He's one shotting me every time I get close!

I NEED storage! I'm reading the wiki and even the place they mentioned as safe , someone in discussion says it respawns.. sigh!

Please help me kill Carius! -Dark elf female using one handed weapons , plus bow which did little to no damage when sneaking and using it.

What level are you? what weapons do you have? how much HP do you have? Do you have smithing or alchemy?

Level 11, Two ebony swords, about 160 hp, one dot in smithing and no dots in alchemy.

How about turning down the difficulty? I'd think at Novice (if needed) you could win this one.

Yeah, you are probably WAY too low level for Solthseim in general, let alone a level 25 boss!

It is down to novice and... Yeah ok .. I guess it's back to Skyrim and maybe .. blah.. Finish main quest and buy a house so I don't have to carry the world around!

Yeah you are too low...turn difficulty down+get a follower? The expansion is for higher level character, hence why the story is sort of a continuation Skyrim's MQ.

If you are at novice and being one shotted, that proves that you are to low a lvl to do this w/o resorting to god mode (what's the point of that?)

If you have DG, get Serena and then try. She's a great follower or at least Lydia. Of course, you could just play up in lvl until you are maybe 20 or so.

I have Marcurio. He's a great mage. I wanted this character to live in Solstheim since she is Dunmer.. I'm just getting killed a lot though. :( I hate Serana . She is too bossy.

I have no god mode ps3.

Well, god mode is silly for gaming - it's there for testing really so IMO, that's no loss. If your follower isn't doing it, then you are much too weak. I really don't remember that much difficulty with this foe. I play on Master usually and hit DB at maybe LVL 20 or so.

Serena is my best buddy. We go everywhere together. Well, courses for horses, as they say.

He's a 2-hander, right? here's what you do:

since he's killing you in 1 hit, there's no point in wearing any armor, so take it off;

have your off-hand free, so you can bash if necessary. or dont, and spam dual power attacks;

cook and eat a beef/venision stew;

during the fight you will dodge his attacks. walk back to avoid regular attacks and left/right to avoid power attacks. whenever he fails to hit you, you step forward, hit him and get out of his reach again. If you think you wont leave his reach in time you bash him;

use any shout, scroll, potion, posion you have;
