[WIPZ] Solstheim Overhaul

Post » Fri Mar 08, 2013 6:51 pm

thanks guys!

it won't be compatible elterin, it doesn't need to be either; i'm remaking so much of the landscape i'm removing seams myself without noticing and making new seams elsewhere by accident. :P
i'll make sure there is none in the finnaly release.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23627856/RRdone.jpg

I spent the hole day fixing bugs and placing activators in Raven rock. The only things i need to do before a release are; Place the creatures, place some flora (containers, shrubs) in Brodir's Grove and just above Raven rock (atleast 3 and a half cells), finish all the snowy cells (at least 4 cells) and lastly, finish the cells just to the east of Fort Frostmoth (atleast 5 cells). All these task are fairly easy as a lot of the work for them has already started. Should take me 3 days at least!

then i'll release the Beta. already finished the readme that lists all the new features (although i forgot a few whilst taking a break last November, damn...)

The next versions will include:
Fixes to my bugs.
Falsaad coast, Isinfier Plains, thirsk, skaal.
new interiors - mainly burrows - that will hopefully be on the same scale as Skyrim burrows.
a better scripted frostmoth that looks less "nuked" and more "raided"
interiors added to frostmoth's new buildings. and Npcs to go.

all of that shouldn't take as long, a lot of this year was spent designing things (such as ground textures, although papill6n came to the rescue eventually!) and setting up the data files.

wooooo!

This would be so cool if it were part of Morrowind Rebirth. Lots of awesomeness in one pack. :D

Will you make this compatible with Vurt Groundcover? That would add a massive + to this mod.

This does look amazing.

When it's finished, will you make compatibility patches for popular Bloodmoon mods like Solstheim Castle and White Wolf of Lokken?

i'd have to reshape the whole landscape back to Vanilla to make it compatible. :P But i'll generate some new grass, sure.

don't think i'll need to make patches for either of those. But yeah, i'm going to make patches for other popular Bloodmoon mods.

Nope and Yes.

well, Felsaad revamped will be compatible with the beta i plan on releasing soon, but eventually i'll edit the same cells as it does. I'm making a patch for the falmer ruins. (it was originally compatible, but with the new mountain meshes i couldn't keep it that way :( ). so i'll make a patch that makes the entrance look nice, and for people who don't use the falmer ruins the mountain will also look good, and won't be missing a huge chunk of rock in one spot where a door should be.

I also have permission from Vality to use the falmer stuff, so i can make the entrance pretty nifty in order to get it to fit into the side of the mountain easier. I use the falmer ruins too, btw.

i've almost finished the creatures and all the cells on one side of the river are completed, this is all that is left: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23627856/part2.jpg it'll be a lot easier seeing as i don't have to work around mountains/Brodir's Grove/Raven Rock/Fort Frostmoth.

i was hoping to get this released a few days ago though. :(

Hey Sister.
I have no idea what happened to my lil' site, it just isn't working. I'll pm you a dropbox link in a few hours, i hope you don't mind having an updated version i haven't released yet. :P (If your still wanting to use it after all this time.)

and i've been away because of exams, but my beta should be out pretty soon, i'm mostly just working on gameplay features.

Where is this "Solstheim" you guys are talking about? I've been all over the map, but couldn't find anything like that. Do I need a certain mod for this?

Yes, you can find the patch on pirate's basin, or something of the similar name.

It's from the official Bloodmoon expansion.
It's a large island to the North West.

Of course it's good. Both official expansions add tons of new content and each have a new main quest to do.
If you get a "Game of the Year" edition of the game, it comes with both expansions.

Also, many mods and patches require that you have both expansions installed.

Nice, I'll see if I can get that one at my local seller. Hopefully it's still available, considering how old that game is.

It is on steam or amazon if you want to buy it online. It might be a bit hard to find locally, but who knows. :)

Locally probably impossible if one is not in US or someplace else that has those game shops that sell ancient stuff like Morrowind.

If he's lucky enough to live where they have these stores, where I live there's no Morrowind ever since the 1st release of GOTY version was sold out. These days reinstalling the game is hell, it took me months of asking around to get my hands on Bloodmoon CD cause mine got toasted, and lately the Morrowind CD itself is starting ti give up. Then I'm screwed.

Sorry for going off-topic Wolli. :P
