Solsthiem!

Two questions, would you like Solsthiem to be accesible in Skyrim?

Do you think it will be accesible in Skyrim?

I voted- Yes, No.

I agree with the expansion idea. I'd really like to head into Solsthiem or High Rock in one.

I doubt we'll see it because they won't want to redo it.
Besides, it would be weird to play through it because...
THAT ONE BUSH MOVED!!!!

One thing out of place might ruin it for me, it wouldn't be the same...

But yes I want it too...

They might make a few small islands and it be out subsitute, and it could work just as well...
maybe...

I would love to see it, but I doubt I will. Unless the Bloodmoon decides to rise in some DLC.

Yes, as an expansion. We can see what the Dunmer that are not already in Skyrim are up to. Bloodmoon was my favorite part of MW.

I think there'd be a lot of potential in revisiting Solstheim, especially now that the Dunmer have moved in. I'd save it for an expansion, however.

I find it rather unlikely that Solstheim will appear in the game, seeing as it probably won't go that far east, and neither would I want to, I've already seen Solstheim in Morrowind, so why would I want to go there again, aside from a desire to see the same place in a modern graphics engine? And as far as that goes, Solstheim probably wouldn't look that different from the rest of the game, which would seem to make adding it as an expansion even more pointless, since if you look at the past Elder Scrolls expansions, they all explored types of environments that the games they were made for lacked. Tribunal provided a city surrounded by impassable walls seperating it from the rest of the gameworld, unlike the default Morrowind cities, which only had small walls that often had many openings in them, if they had walls at all. It also included a vast network of underground tunnels from caves, sewers and ruins, which felt quite different from the often quite small dungeons of Morrowind. Bloodmoon had a land of snow and ice populated by animals like wolves and bears that you might see in real life, rather than the alien fauna that Morrowind had. And for Oblivion, we got Shivering Isles, which was sort of like the opposite of Bloodmoon, whereas in Cyrodiil, we saw a fairly mundane world for the most part, Shivering Isles showed a much more fantastical world populated by more exotic creatures, somewhat more like Morrowind, though unlike Morrowind, being the realm of the Daedric Prince of Madness, it had more insanity. Yet having Solstheim as an expansion to Skyrim would just be more of the same, and that's not what I want. If Bethesda makes expansions, it should be used as an oportunity to do things they were not able to do in the original game.

All things considered, I'd say no for both questions.

I don't like the poll options, though, because for the first question, the only "no" answer says "It would svck", and I'm not saying having Solstheim in Skyrim would "svck", I'm just saying I think it would be unnecessary and pointless and I don't think it would be the best decision, I'm sure the game would still be good if it was done.

I hope we get to see Morrowind and like do everything we could in Morrowind and I hope they call it The Elder Scrolls V: Morrowind and like I want to become a reincarnation of the N dude and like relive the events of Morrowind.

edit: I think it should be like Morrowind.

No and no. Already been done even if some (incl myself) didn't do it. I'd like to have Solstheim
and other neighboring areas as a distant skybox though, but not be able to go there. I mean,
we now get a huge (I hope) continent of Nords, so it doesn't add anything unique.

I wouldn't mind seeing it as an expansion, especially since during the events of the Infernal City
Spoiler
the Dunmer fled there.
Although I'm not hugely fussed about whether we end up with it in the game or not. Seeing it as a skybox as Hoblak said would be a sufficient nod.

Eh... I dunno.

I'd prefer to see Dunmer refugees in Skyrim itself. I mean, I've been there already. It'd be interesting to mod though, since most of the resources will already be there.

I'd like to see another Frost Giant, though. Hopefully one we have the option of allying with.

I would like to see Solsthiem in TESV, but I don't expect to see it in the game. Even if it's not there, I'd like NPC's to mention it, I also propose a name change of the island, New Resdayn.

The island is still owned by the nords. Hell, the nords could have waited for a winter to come and wipe out the dunmer as they freeze for the first time in their life. Instead, the nords (most likely the Skaal and Thirsk nords) came with gifts and helping hands. Keep the name as Solstheim.
