i probably found a solution for those people who have issues with their internet connection going down when trying to connect to a crysis2 server.

i tried my old router and had no problem whatsoever, except that my nat status is now strict, which probably has something to do with the windows7 firewall.

anyways. i was able to connect and figured it must be my router, because i had the same issue with every other game where you have to refresh a server list.

turned out to be the case actually. my router "zyxel P-660H-D7" cuts the internet connection when there is a specific amount of incoming connections.

i went the easy way and completely disabled the firewall provided by the router.

you might want to try that as well. gonna look at it in a bit more detail tomorrow. maybe you can keep your firewall on and there are some options you need to modify.

yea, well. i dont think a random hacker has any intention hacking my pc.

this is a solution i found and it works for me. i think there some people out there who experience the same issue as i did. the game runs just fine for me now.

so my advice, if you dont want to disable your router firewall, take a closer look at your router config. it might not be crysis' fault, even though there are some things that really need to be fixed and optimized.

btw. game is fun, but i need to practice a lot! played only wow in the last couple of years. and the game looks amazing! best looking multiplayer shooter out there. and i play in low detail... (i used the config tool that is posted somewhere here)
