Some advice on Interface Mods

Hello Beth forums,

I need some dire advice on the install/load order of a few tweaks and additions to modding up the interface. I'm still sort of new to modding, so I know somewhere along the lines I'm overwriting files and am not loading them up in the correct order. As of now I've uninstalled the game and preparing for a fresh install. So before I begin on my 2nd attempt, I would like some general advice on how to tackle this.

Mods I'm planning to add and the the order I installed them my first attempt.

Asuka Hud (classic vault boy): I do enjoy the over all look for this one though there is one giant concerns that I plan to solve by overrwriting. The crosshair is a bit gigantic for me which I plan to use Small crosshair mod to cancel out.

Small Crosshair: A bit of a generic name, but I hope many of you know what I'm talking about. I doubt the specfics really matter as I'm sure the process of changing the crosshair is the same from mod to mod. See Above reason for the change.

Fallout New Vegas - Revelations: I enjoy the classic fall back feel that I get from this mod. I remember uploading this as one of the first, but the rest of the mods I included sort of messed things. Re uploaded it and everything was fine.

Classic Fallout Front: This was added to enhance Revelations.

Other Mods:

MTUI
Project Nevada Placed this one next since it was the largest mod I was installing and included many additions to the hud
Mod Configuration Menu
oHUD
PipWare
Selective FIre
FPS selective Fire
FPS selective wheel: This was the mod that give me all my issues. If I can't find a work around then I'm going to forget this one. Trying to fix it was a pain and it made all the mods above completely unplayable.
Director's Chair and all the other mods associated with it (Cinematech, Dynavision and the IMAGINATOR
Weapons Mod Menu I'm installing WMX: Weapon Mods Extended and this was a natural choice to go along with it.
Unified Hud

Now, I've also had some issues with oHUD as well. For one it seems to be a newer, less tested mod and isn't recognizable with BOSS. If it's better just to use Primary Needs, aHud and iHUD instead then I will go ahead and do that. And dosen't Project Nevada also come with it's version of Primary Needs?

Other than Project Nevada, WMX, Type 3 and EVE for gameplay additions, the rest are just texture packs, companion tweaks and additions music packs and a cool cigarette mod for style

oHUD replaces the prior HUDs (pHUD, aHUD, iHUD) so just use it instead.

Gopher made Unified HUD as well as oHUD (and the prior three) so he knows what he's doing and the mods work together well.

Strongly advise using DarnUI. It's generally considered to be the best foundation.

UI mods normally load very early (after .esm... usually first plugins in the load order).

DarnUI
Unified HUD
MCM
oHUD

Note that Unified HUD needs to be switched from active to inactive and back again with each mod that changes a HUD.

You can check YouTube for some videos about installing HUD changes.

Whenever checking load order or attempting to use mods, always check when the latest update/instructions were offered. Older updates may cause issues with newer mods (or vice versa, depending on how you look at it). Likewise, older instructions on load order may not be up to date (e.g., YouTube videos may show you the earlier three separate mods but not oHUD, but it is far simpler to simply use oHUD... the order is similar, of course, it's just one mod rather than three).

Type 3 body, like all body replacers, is simply a replacer and can go early.

EVE and other gameplay changes need to go late (or preferably last).

Overhaul mods should give you specific instructions regarding other mods.

I use DarNUI + Revelation + http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=42483. It does a lot for the atmosphere for me personally while keeping the UI usable and easy to read.
