some advice needed - improved a mod.

Hey guys,

I've been using a mod thats been out for nearly two years. The author has been inactive for over a year and the mod is considered "dead".

using the mod I noticed some "niggle" things that needed fixing/implementing from both my own observations and from reading the comments of other users from the mod.

This "new version" I have made would benefit many other users and my question is simply this:

Should i upload it?

I have messaged the author a PM via nexus but again his last log in was a year ago. I know ethically its frowned upon and there is no new meshes/textures - just all vanilla stuff. The author would get full credit for his involvement/work and I can link to the older version if needs be.

What should i do?

For those who want to know its a small mod that "restores" Winterhold with some houses and a blacksmith. Most of my changes are to the black smith, adding more lighting, ai packages, clutter, nav mesh fixes and a few other fixes to other parts of the mod (i.e raising the height of the enchanter table in player home)
