Some build questions to my fellow Assassins

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 5:46 pm

Hi everyone :D I've been thinking to a decent build for my new assassin for a while especially reading some feedbacks here on the forum.

So the sure-to-take trees I want to invest my perks are

Archery
Sneak
Light arm
One handed

I have some doubts about the other 1-2 tree to choose, between Illusion, Smithing, Alchemy and Enchanting. Since I'm quite new to skyrim (I haven't picked any of those 4 with my warrior 20) could you give me some feedback on each listing some pros and cons? Thank you so much! ;)

Maybe these threads will help you. I still dont understand what's so hard about making an assassin but people keep asking about it.

An assassin build is any build in which you play as an assassin. Why do these threads keep popping up? You can be any type of assassin you want. You don't need us to hold your hand. Play the game!

You don't need to invest in specific trees to be an assassin.

I played a 'pure' mage assassin and I was able to make my kills without being detected (except for that one big kill in the DB quest line). No Sneaking. No Illusion. No armor. No daggers. Just Destruction.

My other sneaky characters who make very good sneaky characters that can double as very successful assassins use the following trees:

Archery
Alchemy
Sneak

That's it.

Choose between archery/one-handed early on. You don't really need both. Whichever weapon path you choose, you want to spend the majority of your perks in that and sneak for the first 20-25 levels with the occasional perk thrown into light armor.
