Post » Wed Feb 05, 2014 10:52 am

i talked to him whether or not he confused it with an early access account and he said "no it's an full imperial account. i activated the early access key and my friend provided me with an imperial key"

He might have redeemed two early access keys... is that even possible? i hope it gives you an error of some sort.

his repulatiton isn't that bad.. 89 feedback 100%.

i won't buy it obviously because i'm pretty sure it's fake unless his friend works for zenimax or similar LOL :D

it does sound dodgy, on the other hand , its normal for people to hoard collector's editions for MMOs and sell them for a profit after launch, never heard of it pre launch though.

The description is for the standard edition ...

Even the screenshot isn't the red box of the imperial one but the brown one from the standard edition.

Furthermore I read 3 days early access, which would mean it's a physical copy.

"Dieser beinhaltet die standard Version des Spiels, welches bereits aktiviert ist."

It basically says that he redeemed the standard version... but all he did was redeeming his early access key.

Anyways i'm done with him :P

i got a bit confused since he told me that he also redeemed the imperial editon but all he did was creating another account and using his friends EA Imperial Edition Key.

I would never buy accounts for any game from any auction site, not a good idea.

Okay it seems that he finally understood the situation and removed it.

It was probably just misinformation

The game isn't even live yet, how could he have an actual account?

Just pre-order the game through a retailer. People buying stuff before its even out from other people are stupid.

I have one  As does anyone who preordered the digital copy, for that matter.

Edit: But yeah, never ever buy an account. No, I'm not going to go into moral reasons since I don't care about that. What I do care about is that the process can often times go like this:

Person A sells their account.

Person B buys the account.

Person A contacts support saying it was stolen, thus getting it back.

Person B no longer has the account, while person A has their account back and the money paid by person B.

It sounds to me like he's trying to sell just his early access code- meaning (assuming it's real, and not a total scam) you'd have access to game only from 4/1 until they shut off access without a retail game code, which will probably be a few days after official release, to allow for slow shipping, but which definitely won't last forever.

In other words, your early access code is only meant to allow you to play the game before the official release on 4/4. After that, you'll have to put in a retail code, which will be included in your physical game materials to continue playing (again, probably with a few days grace period to account for slow shipping). It's only applicable for physical copies. Digital copies will likely only have one code.

That's how I understand it, at least.

I wasn't aware they were shipping codes and letting people create accounts yet, as I haven't pre-ordered yet. (Will be soon)

Figured the only ones with accounts were those in beta.

Back when people used to sell EQ accounts. They would sell the account and then get it back later after the person had spent tons and tons of time on it. I wouldn't bother with it.
