some hope for us PS3 users?

Post » Wed Aug 19, 2009 10:36 pm

at least they are rolling out some patches already for the PS3...

I have some hope that at least most of the problems can be patched
and the game will become basically stable and can be played
all the way through to the end with a few patches...

the fact that it's already happening is a good sign...

I was never able to finish FO3 GOTY due to the crashing
problems...

:swear:

Who? What? Where? When? Why?

I have not received a patch. Is this an EU or AUS only thing?
Any other US PS3 owners have a patch yet?

Nope.
As of a couple of hours ago, no patch. I'm thinking it will come out on a Tuesday since that's when Sony likes to do their PSN updates.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow? Yeah, right. :banghead:

I heard the EU patch made it worse(at least for a few people) and yeah, same here, holding out for tomorrow in "hopes" that they will at least release a patch that addresses the companion issue (ed-e). I have beeen trying to get REX as a companion to replace his brain, and even though I have not seen ED-E for 6 levels or more, it still says he is with me, preventing me from picking up rex..kinda like the perception perk though :disguise::)

I have also the UK Version and the patch didn't help with all the known problems in the game. *sigh* :(

Still waiting for the next true patch.

Bethesda needs to start by fixing the two biggest problems with the game: Freezing and Crashing. All other glitches can wait.

i think they should focus on things that prevent you from playing or finishing quests before they worry about freezing and crashing, which probably cant even be fixed, and is gone if you restart the game, or reload a save.

let's hope that the two are related.

I've got the 1.01 patch but I am still having issues. I try to enter teh strip everything freezes and goes black. Game locks up when I am exploring. Companions disappear then reappear and so on. I want to play this so badly but constantly getting up and having to manually turn off my ps3 and reload the game all over again is just more frustration than I can bear. Please, for the love of everything that is good and holy fix these damn issues so I can go on my merry way playing this otherwise awesome game!

well well.... fortunately i had to play the original game just an hour, 1.01 leaves the game still in a pretty worse condition. too worse to sale it to customers, much too worse.

this game has alot potential, the idea is great, the figures, the quests are excellent. my opinion is, its the better fallout 3.
fix it, and you will receive true respect from true gamers :)

im pretty sure this freezing problem goes deep into the engine, physics related to the hardware of the ps3 /:
