Elders of Vvardenfell.esp

this
GS_SEYDA NEEN COMPLETE.esp -- may break guards and quests would need to be edited with the CS

Wheatthin ran your mod list through Mlox. Thanks Wheatthin, BTW.

It appears you have two plugins that need to be cleaned of GMSTs and you are running too many of the Elders of Vvardenfell plugins.

There are other possible errors that Mlox could detect by running it on your machine (Mlox can't do some things from an external list, like update your load order).

Mlox is pretty simple to install and run. I really recommend you get it. It could possibly fix all your problems (no guarantees) and it will tell you about updates and patches you may not come across normally.

The GMST issue could be causing erratic behavior which is showing up as the error you're having.

I'm sorry, but I have to log out for the night (very early day tomorrow) but there are a lot of others around who can help. :)

HEY TETCHY! lol (it works at GHF, not sure about here)

Edit: Total ninja latendresse76 :) Got time to help out a little?

Alright, i installed everything and Mlox is up and running but i don't know what to do with it. It shows the proposed load order and the active plugins along w/ messages in text format, but what do i do from here?

There should be a button that says update load order near the top right I think. Also, just checking, did you right click on the save and hit repair all in mash.

I did repair all. However, it's not letting me click to update load order. It's the grey, unclickable text.

Somehow i still feel like this won't solve the doubling issue, but i sure hope it does.

Oh by the way, mlox didn't change my load order at all from what it was... and it won't let me "update load order".

I'm Baaaaccckkk. lol

Do you have the times locked in mash?

In the left window of Mlox, at the very bottom of the text, what does it say? does it say "no sorting needed" ?

At the bottom it just says "right click this pane for options". I don't know what locking time in mash is or where it is.

Right click the bar that reads file in mash then see this picture for http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/3635/mash.png. Lock times should not have a check by it.

Then follow the directions in this for picture for http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/488/mlox.png.

Edit:

Did you remove Elders 0 Count NPC add-on.esp & Elders of Vvardenfell.esp? Did you edit or remove GS_SEYDA NEEN COMPLETE.esp? Did you clean armorer.esp & AragonMonk-v10.esp?

Did doing these three things fix your problem?

I removed elders, didn't do much w/ Seyda Neen, cleaned armorer as best i coul, and removed AragonMonk. And no. I'm sure removing Seyda Neen Complete would, because that's the mod that is being doubled right now... and it has something to do w/ my framerate issue. So i'm sure by removing it it'll "fix" things, but I'm looking to keep the mod.

When i right click in Mash, i don't see that at all. I see:
Readme
Copy to esm
Renumber Refs
Repair Refs
Sort Records
Statistics
Updaters

You have to right click the little button at the top of the mod list (on the mods tab) that says "file". it looks like it's just the label for that column. That will open the menu that Wheatthin pointed out.

Okay, since Lock Times is not selected in Mash, then you should be able to do this step with mlox

Then follow the directions in this for picture for http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/488/mlox.png.

That should handle the load order issues if there are any. The next thing you would want to do is check the information in the messaged section of mlox. The information provided there can tell you if you have mods that are out of date (sometime providing a link to the most recent version), if they have evil GMSTs and need to be cleaned, etc. Review this information (and possibly copy and paste it here if you need some help with what to do with the info) and take what steps you need to so things are in proper order per this (most recent mod versions, mods cleaned, etc).

As mentioned earlier, you may also want to set up a Mashed Lists (the directions for this should be in the Mash HTML readme) file in your load order (don't think this will help for this problem at all, but it is a good idea and could save future heart ache).

I still can't upload the ordered list in mlox. It's greyed out and unclickable :(

Let me see (trying to remember this without actually running it since I don't have anything installed on my rig just yet), if I remember correctly, after you use the button at the bottom to adjust the load order you should be able to right-click in the second list and "Select All" and "Copy to Clipboard." Then you should be able to paste the list into a message here on the boards. If you can't use the button at the bottom, then your load list probably doesn't need updated.

Honestly, I don't see anything glaring to me in your list - others might have more input on that though.

Have you managed to get through all the processes in Mash that have been recommended so far? Any you are struggling with still? And what color is your save in Mash currently?

I've tried everything save removing the Seyda Neen mod, which i know is the culprit somehow but it's what i'm trying to keep. All the doubling is of characters in this mod and the framerate issue only happens with this mod. Obviously removing it would fix the problem, but then i'd lose my mod. Others seem to be doing fine with this so i'm just trying to get it back in working order. I've tried reinstalling and everything but nothing.

My saves are purple, but i've tried repairing them and the log says it fixed a bunch of doubling, but when i fire up the game again they're all still there.

So i did a little manual digging and discovered my framerate issue is linked to these very close "swamp trees". I'm almost positive it's what's doing it. What i'm unsure about is why. They don't look to be layered on top of eachother or duplicated, plus there's a ton of other trees that are the same model as this one that exist in the Bitter Coast and my machine doesn't struggle with them. Is it as simple as going in with the CS and removing the trees, or what that cause more problems?

Hmm, alright then - I am at a little bit of a loss, here - honestly. My next suggestion is to start a new game quick, and check to see if things work okay like that (I would assume they should, as it does seem to be an issue with the save game). Other than that, hold out for a little bit, I'm sure some other folks will be in with some more advice soon enough.

Don't see it mentioned in your threads, but are you using Morrowind Code Patch? It really sounds like some of the bugs we fixed with the loader last year. The game can do odd things when combining multiple mods.

Yeah, started a new game and the framerate issues and doubling were completely fixed. However, i've made quite some progress with my old game. Is there any way i can salvage it!?

I just got done applying the Code Patch but still nothing :/

So far starting a new game is the only thing that fixes it so it's gotta be a dirty save. However, there's gotta be a way to save my old game!
