Some model requests

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 11:35 am

I'd like 8 to 10 of these made;
http://magiccards.info/query?q=Signet&v=card&s=cname

about the size of Morrowind's Grand soul Gem

I realize atleast 2 of the look like they are walls, so those are optional, (those being the gruul and Boros Signets)

Textures completed are optional, just a basic .nif model is fine for with or without textures.

Please and thank you!

There are fewer-n-fewer modellers on here every day. I wish you luck with your project.

Yes as 3d objects not cards;

No offence but i could probably just modify a few of the collectable card game models if i wanted to have them as cards :T

Sabre,
Your request has not fallen upon deaf ears (well that, and I was bored today :P )

Currently the collision isn't working correctly but you can pick it up, and drop it in game (it just falls through the floor).

Allow me some time to work on this, and I should be able to produce 3 of them for you.

Might I ask what they are for?

I had an idea for a guild system overhaul, mainly its for personal fun, but if i can set up some scripts and maybe some not nessisarily lore accurate quests then maybe i can get something done with them, and that size is perfect.

(might i ask specifically for the Izzet Signet to be one of the 3 you do?)

Um.....Specifically ask?
[honest answer] No
I was hoping that any work I did on this would have been part of a mod that you intended to release.
If it's just for personal fun I suggest you learn to model, and texture.

It does take time to do these you know, and you just got lucky that I had a short day at work but to commit more of my time to this it really needs to be for a 'greater good' for ALL players of Oblivion to enjoy.
Send me a PM when you have a plan for a quest or mod that you'd release for the ENTIRE community to use, and I shall commit more of my time to helping you see that become a reality.
Fair enough?

I am refining it so that the wood looking boarder has definition.

however I suggest you actually use the stuff in a Mod or you will be ahrd pressed to find anyone willing to do it.

I think the izzet signet is possibly the only really interesting one, in terms of a modelling project that is. :D

Sabre,
I hope you will take my advice from my PM earlier.
Regardless I have repaired the collision on the one Signet I have done, and uploaded it.
It is a modder's resource, and there for anyone who wishes it in their game.
It currently only lacks a custom icon.

Enjoy:

Thanks Nico, Sorry for the rather Rude behavior, its just a tad frustrating for me at times when things don't seem the way they used to ^^

I'll look into making some sort of mod, with it in the future, seeing as i have nothing better to do (no job till i ship out to Navy boot.)

Join the club Sabre.
Modding can be frustrating at times when things don't work like you want them too.
That happens to all of us.
What separates those that mod from those that don't is being bull-headed enough to keep trying.
Never give up or limit yourself by convincing yourself that "It's too hard".
There is a lot to be said for persistence.
