Some more Crysis 3 info from magazines...

Post » Tue Dec 04, 2012 1:44 am

http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=34815 - If you want to view the screens.

THE INFO FROM THE MAG:-
-Crysis 3 won't be the ending
-New writer Steven Hall
-Prophet was inprisoned by CryNet (reason of timeskip)
-global ceph invasion took place
-we will find out what happened to the rest of the planet
-Psycho is back
-CryNet and Ceph aren't the only fractions
-side missions
-new ceph with flamethrower Scorcher
-animals are back: giant frog
-speed and power seems to be separted now
-2 new powers: hacking alien turrents and using theirs weapon
-environment less destructive than Crysis 1
-one of the concepart or screen seems to show frozen world ouside the dome

The info I like the most if Psycho is back and that there are side missions, as hopefully that means it is like Crysis 1 in open world terms :)

Sounds like they really did took the best parts from crysis 1 and crysis 2. especially the Side mission part seems to point to a more open enviroment if you ask me.

And we all just love Psycho dont we :)

Am I the only one that is glad that they have a new writer? The writing in Crysis 2 was either really good or just plain awful, so good news there. The other features excite me too, Crytek definitely seem to be moving in the right direction with this one.

I just hope they add co-op since they said stuff about Psycho.
And might I remind you, the entire Eagle Team of nanosuits survived, leaving at least 5-6 viable people to play as...

Please correct me if i'm wrong but while i remember there being alot of flimsy shed structures in C1 you could destroy, some bunkers and ofcourse trees, you couldn't actually destroy larger more substantial buildings could you? or the many green military demountables. maybe there just won't be as many of those kind of weak structures in the bio-dome.

The CryEngine 3 could do it no problem.
You just need to give a level designer a few dozen hours, and get a PC which won't burst into flames at the mere thought of it.

Hmmhmm have you ever played Crysis 1 on the consoles?

No?

Then you would have known that the physics in this "conversion" are nowhere near the original Crysis. Well... like almost any other aspect of that game... its just the ugly little brother...
The "Luigi" of the Crysis franchise ;-)

Consoles are just to weak for a game looking so good and having extraordinary physicsfeatures.
If Crytek just waited for the new console generation... then it might will be possible.

Indeed, the suit in the cover of some magazine looks different than the NanoSuit N2.

Kind of looks same-ish but with a different mouth piece and darker greenish colors or something...

Maybe the "Hunter" Nanosuit Module?

CoOp is unlikely but I'd certainly build them a statue if they did that...

Yeah it would be lovely, not enough games with Co Op these days... Maybe they'll have PVE like in other games, WarFace has some pretty good gameplay, wouldn't care if MP was on a second disk or something..

On PC? Since PC games need to be installed, you can get some crazy compression in standard DVDs.

Sure it'll install slow as hell, but you'd be surprised how much crap they can just cram in there...

I don't think it's a different suit; I can see the old mouthpiece under the new one. Like the other guy, I think the hunter module probably adds objects onto your person depending on where you are and what you need.

@alkytr4z:
Melting power and speed together made the gameplay a bit smoother in my opinion.

The best thing about the post is that Psycho is back. He has to be older now, will be glad to see him back.

Yes, but with the symbiotic nature of the nanosuit, correct me if I'm wrong please, you don't age hardly at all because the suit essentially keeps you tip top for the life of the suit. At least, I have assumed as much. Clarification from a more knowledgable fan on the nanosuit would be appreciated.
