Cameo from Jonathan Creek? Pet bet Wilbur? Riverwood is also the first town we'll see. We must start in Rivetwoid then because since it's open world we could travel anywhere we wanted if we were just dropped outside somewhere like in Oblivion.

I mean, seriously. One even reads: "shirts made of belts make your back itchy"

There is no pet bat, etc.

Maybe the "pet" bat is only part of a quest, and not really permanent. But it doesnt seem very serious.

I believe the whole pet bat Wilbur thing is a joke or a joke taken out of context...

If you click the link to the scans at the beginning of the article you'll see that the caption for the screenshot where the dragon is flying at the player (the fight scene from the trailer) says: " Wilbur, your pet bat, joins you in fights." This is meant to be a joke because it obviously a dragon, not a bat, flying at the player. The rest of the screenshot captions are also of a sarcastic nature... And Jonathan Creek is the main character from a British crime drama... Hope this clears things up.

Or it could mean that it "guides" us to Riverwood early in the game. I seriously doubt we start there.
