Hey guys! For my next character I'd like to make a character who attempts to follow in Talos's footsteps and actions and such (not necessarily mantling or anything, just being really devout!). While trying to come up with the backstory and idea I realized I have a lot of questions about Talos that have been floating around my head that I didn't see answered in any of the stickies or in the first few pages of the forum, so I thought it would be okay to ask!
1) When Talos Stormcrown became a part of Talos the god (along with the Wulfharth + Zurin Arctus), did Talos's CHIM-ness transfer into the new Divine? Or is one of those things in which one of the Walking Ways is dominant over the other, i.e. the fourth takes precedence over the sixth? I thought Talos Stormcrown achieved CHIM before becoming part of Talos the god, why I asked in such an order. If it does transfer, that brings me to my next question!
2) Vivec mentions that the Ruling King who sees among himself an equal rules over nothing. I can't remember if I read it here or another forum, but someone mentioned that the Ruling King = the one who has achieved CHIM. I might be butchering the explanation, but that's how I recall it. Does this imply that multiple individuals can't achieve CHIM simultaneously? That didn't make sense to me because I've read that Lorkhan's sacrifice was in order to let others achieve CHIM. That wouldn't make sense if only one individual could have it at a time?
3) This one is ENTIRELY speculation, but if Talos Stormcrown was in Skyrim today, who do you think he would side with in the Civil War? The little I know about him makes me feel like he would not stay neutral. I know that he loved the Red Legions so much that he primarily used his CHIMness/Thu'um to aid them, so that would support him still siding with "his" (and I use that loosely) Empire. However, would he feel that one, it's no longer his empire, and that two, by abandoning him they rejected his love? I'm mostly talking about Talos the man pre-CHIM, as I know that due to his CHIM he can't wipe out the Stormcloaks or the Empire or anything.
4) How did Talos learn shouts? Since there weren't exactly dragons all over the damn place like in Skyrim. If a Dragonborn (such as Talos) studied with the Greybeards and learned the Thu'um as they did, would he still learn faster than the Tongues just because of his dragon blood/soul? Or does the accelerated process of acquiring them simply come from absorbing a dragon's soul? I ask because upon reading of like the meeting of Cyrus and Tiber, Tiber uses a shout. Additionally there's plenty other examples of him using them, so I started getting confused as to what process he went through. Same thing applies to the Wulfharth actually! I know they were both summoned by the Greybeards, but that doesn't resolve the whole "not enough dragon souls around" issue.
Number 2 is the one I'm the absolute most ignorant on to be honest. These "Rebel-come-King" and "Scarab turning in a new man" and all these things get confusing after a bit. If I'm asking silly questions or just butchering a concept, feel free to shoot me down! I'm a complete noobie at the more hardcoe lore stuff, and when I tried to find this stuff out on my own I didn't get far. :[
