1) Is anyone else having the CryEngine 3 logo as the very first thing you see at startup? Not the one where the voice says "Achieved with CryEngine 3" with the video, just a still picture of the logo. I think it may have something to do with me using the graphical tweak posted by Wasdie and that I haven't removed all traces of it. If anyone can advise me with a fix, it would be helpful as it greatly slows down startup time.

2) Is it normal for you to be able to play Crysis 2 without a disc? The last PC game I bought was Crysis (yeah, I know) and I had to put the disc in every time. I can launch the Crysis 2 straight from Crysis2Launcher in the installation folder without putting the disc in. I'm a little concerned because I don't want to appear as though I'm playing a pirated copy of Crysis 2.

Yeah, both really stupid questions. Flame me all you want, but I come that someone can step up and help me. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

the eye at the beginning just means its loading.

and yes you can play without disk.

I've got the digital version so obviously don't need a CD (though im pretty sure most games come cracked nowadays) as for the starting page? yeh, mine also get's stuck on the logo for what seems like longer than it should and Im using no tweeks

1. you probably have skipinto 1 in your config. it skips all that movie crap in the startup and just leaves the "eye"

2. I dont have a disk, i DL'ed from steam, but i dont see what the problem would be if you didnt have to boot from disc every time.

Ok thanks for the quick replies. So I guess the conclusion is that the logo on startup is normal, and that Crysis 2 can be played without a disc(I bought the retail copy). Really sorry for these stupid questions, I was just worried that my game didn't install properly. I'm always crazy about the file integrity of my games. =)

Nope, I didn't do anything to my config. So how would I go about skipping the intro? Besides using Wasdie's tweak, because using that induces some funny motion blur in-game in the background.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with not having to boot from the disc, I was just checking to see if it was normal because last time I checked, PC games needed discs. =)

Due to the trend now a day like Cloud computing and digital content disk is no longer necessary.
