Some Screenshots

Hope that is at middle of the road or low graphics. I don't know about anyone else, but the landscape images looked like they were out of focus. Like you were focusing intently on something at a medium distance away from you so that everything in the foreground was slightly blurred, and everything in the background was slightly blurred.

There is, you can see it growing on the rocks. It's a little too bright green though. It would look right if it was a deeper green, like http://www.seabunny.net/picts/Karangahake%20Gorge%20(DSC03911).jpg. I know for a fact that that river is about the same depth as the screen image suggests.

Well, Todd DID imply that you can ride a dragon. I don't think we'll be able to do it your way though... the ESRB probably wouldn't like the bdsn aspect of it.

OMG I am so tired of all these complainers its enough to make a guy sick, what do you want real life, if so go outside, the graphics are phenomenal for a sandbox game dude, you cannot get crisis on these games.

I really hope the Dagur's faces aren't permanently clenched and twisted in agony like the super mutants in Fallout 3's, it was just awkward to search a dead body that looked furious even though every living thing on earth relaxes all it's muscles when it dies.

I think it's about right.

I don't think it's too bright. And by the way, that river is DEFINATELY not the same depth as the river you suggested. The river in the screenshot is much more shallow.

Todd never implied such a thing... he has stated numerous unclear answers like "Not in the way you're thinking" and another one that actually said "No."

It is probably a 360 shot and that would explain the low quality of the textures.

This is Nirn, not Earth.

im glad that they have blood shaders on the sword finally. :) im a bit concerned that their weapons still look like they are made out of plastic instead of metal.

edit: i agree with the other posters about the brightly lit dungeon. im hoping they just had a light spell activated to show of their work. i reall really dont ambient lighting all over the place coming from nowhere.

1 left side
2 beside #1 but knocked onto the ground
3 holding and axe and a bow on back
4 behind #3
5 in the very back laying in the catacomb..... wonder if they awaken in the catacomb and crawl out after you?

do you realize that there is green tinted water in the real world? no from reflections or irradiation...but from moss, muck or stagnant water. You should take a break from video games to learn about the real world..

6 Left of number 1, as you can only see just one arm of it.

Number 4 is holding a one handed axe, and as its blade is parallel to out point of view is seems like a spear.

I hope number 5 has a random chance to raise-up as we fight others or are relaxing with out back to it. ;)

I hope thatnot all the walls of the dungeons and caverns look as carved as the Draugr shot.

The stream shot is magnificent.

The mountain house shot reminds me a bit of FO-NV. :glare:

nothing amazing? wow, you are ungrateful...

its just stupid how people keep wanting more info, want to see more, and they get REALLY nice looking screenshots, and they say "bleh, these svck"... i just put your words in their blunt form.

also, these already look incredible, how much more detailed can they look at their best from the PC version... i doubt its even a noticable amount!

seriously, you people have an unhealthy obsession with PCs... get some help. :shakehead:

anyway, back to the topic, these screenshots look awesome... i love the first one, i wonder where that is, and whose house that is?

glad i saw this topic before the images stopped being free to view.

The house on the mountainside is so Rohan-tastic, how can they even think of not having horses to ride, when they have areas that look like that.

If you have not seen these, here you go.

Thanks.

Edit: Direct links, cheers LS.

:ermm: Sure? They look a lot like extreme modded oblivion, landscape/building/dungeon (-creatures) at least. Need bigger & more screenshots :D

Screen number 1 reminds me of Fallout, which is not a good sign for me. Too empty land.

Like the rest though, gives me the TES feeling. Though I would like to see a forest with more density, more trees.

The first screenshot doesn't look that special to me...
Second and third one though. Nice :)
The draugr to the right looks fierce. Really really cool weapon he got as well :P
Water looks good but a bit strange? I would imagine it to look more clear... to more resemble, you know... water.
On the aspen screenshot; I'd only wish for roots to be visible. That would be awesome. Sadly there are no roots. Still, really love those autumn trees!

I can see roots, small roots, and maybe 1 big one.
And to the left of the small roots, i can also see a Nirn Root

That's strange, I've looked at it zoomed up to 300% and not spotted one root. And neither on any other screenshot or in the trailer.
Just... trees "ending" abruptly in the ground.

Screenshot 1: Looks nice although a bit barren, not the best screenshot to show off your game with in my opinion.
Screenshot 2: Looks nice in general, nice atmosphere although the leaves on the trees look a bit bad in my opinion. But I think that won't bother me at all when they are in motion. But like I said, nice picture in general, I can almost smell the forest. :P
Screenshot 3: I love how the Draugr look, but like previously pointed out it is too well lit for a dungeon. I also dislike the plastic shine on all the stone. And the sword looks a bit blunt and made out of plastic, but that could just be me.

argg... triple post.
I think i know how these double posts are happening now. You post something, then wait for a reply, refresh but its actually resending the same post.

The roots i see arnt directly from the tree's but poking out of the ground near the waters edge. Look right of the Nirn Root

@Kahsajara :blink:

OT: I wonder when we'll see an actually truly open and big view of the game from ground perspective... that shows it all. Seriously. When? You know... something like this http://www.everbecoming.com/temp/oblivion/sunset.jpg, but for Skyrim.

I'd agree that the one picture with the house looks a little on the bland side, not bad, although the textures on the rocks could be better, it just doesn't show anything particularly striking.

The forest one is nice, although it doesn't really show anything that we haven't seen before, other than the stream, which wasn't in the previous screenshots showing this forest, and the stream seems to be pretty nicely done in concept, if only the water didn't look like it was from 2006, I might actually say the stream looks good.

My favorite one is probably the draugr one, although the lighting in it seems far too bright for a dungeon, it looks like it might be that the player has a light spell or something along those lines active, in any case, the brighter lighting than previous dungeon screenshots (Though even those didn't look as dark as I'd like the game's dungeons to be.) is helpful for examining the details on the walls, and I like the trail effect from the eyes of that draugr on the left (The one whose eyes you can see, not that one arm you can see sticking in from the side of the screen.) not sure what exactly you'd call such an effect, the blood looks good too, I can actually see some blood stains on the draugrs, making them look more like they're actually wounded rather than like the sword just passed through them without hurting them but still magically draining their health bars. I just hope the blood won't dissappear within 30 seconds.

All in all, they're not the most striking screenshots I've seen I've Skyrim, but it's still nice to actually see something new of the game.
