[RELz] Some Stuff

Indeed, after installing these with LizTail's AnimKit, they will be applied to all NPCs.

I would like to point at that using LizTail's Animation Kit allows you to add animation modularly. So yes you can mix and match animations. You can use Axel's female walk with Dirnae's animations.

I personally love axel's female walk, but I don't really like the 'run'. So I deleted the run animation from Axel's and now it uses the run from Dirnae's while still using the walk from Axel.

Yep its a wonderful tool :D

now i am still waiting for someone to come along and take the "ninja" animation replacer and take out the "magic cast" animations and make them modular as well :D

Saved this post by Liztail some time ago (sorry for the derailment, Dirnae)
Here are the steps I went through to turn Oshiel's animation replacer into an AnimMod:

1. Extract XComplete.kf to the Data Files/Animation folder
2. Run split_kf.exe from the kit, and type "XComplete.kf" for the first question and choose "yes" to import tail and toe animation.
3. Rename the XComplete folder that split_kf created to "oshiel"
4. Go into the "oshiel" folder and create a new folder called "male" inside it.
5. Move all the KF files in the "oshiel" folder to the "male" folder inside it.
6. Copy the AnimMod.xml file from another mod folder, and edit it like this:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>	<AnimMod>		<name>Oshiel's Animation Replacer</name>		<author>Oshiel</author>		<version>Beta 2</version>		<date year="2007" month="2" day="24" />		<image>icon.png</image>		<description>This is Oshiel's ninja-themed animation replacer.  According to him, "This is some seriously anime/ninja influenced animation. As such it has been described as "over the top;" fair warning."</description>		<layer>no</layer>	</AnimMod>
7. Save that file and then make a 100x100 pixel icon image and save it as icon.png in the "oshiel" folder.
8. Open the GUI... you should see the new anim nod in your list. Process the anim mods to apply it to the game.
9. Play Morrowind. Now you move like a ninja!

Optional: If you don't like all of Oshiel's animations but like some of them, then it's easy to remove the ones you don't like. Just go into the "oshiel" folder you created. You will see that there's one KF file for each animation that it replaces. If you know which one you don't like, just select it and delete it. Otherwise you can use preview_kf to see what it looks like in NifSkope to make sure it's the right one.

Actually, he put up a download link for it once before. o.O Still have it if you want. You'll need to separate the spell anims yourself though I'm afraid. ^^" Its too much work for me to find which anim is which.

It's been awhile, so... bump! If you're not using Dirnae's awesome walk/run and one-handed weapon animations, grab them now!

Thanks a lot for the compliments everyone.

I haven't polished some of these animations up properly yet (the attack animations needs some editing, and the walk animation was done quickly), and I've still got to do the thrust animation, but if anyone wants to try out some one handed animations, then here they are:
http://www.4shared.com/file/153903078/ceb64079/Dirnae_1h_anims.html

Here's a quick, crappy vid of the animations: http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu195/mark507_album/morrowind/animations/?action=view¤t=Movie_0006.flv
I'm thinking the chop needs to be less diagonal and more vertical, and the slash needs to be more diagonal.

The run and walk will affect bows and thrown weapons too, they use the same animation (so for example, djok's 1h sword run would also be used with bows, blunt 1h weapons and thrown weapons), however I think I've managed to get a decent run which looks good with or without shields, and with all the weapon types. Feel free to criticize as usual, it's an early version so it'll no doubt be changed a lot before being finalized.

Also, I'm thinking some steps in the attack animations could be good, though I'm also thinking that when seeing these steps over and over, if it isn't done properly it'll look too artificial.
What's your opinions on this?

This was Dirnae's post (a few pages back) where he uploaded the one-handed attack animations. Enjoy =)

Yeah, just non-beasts atm. I might do beasts later, if I can figure out the leg placement.

I love the new attack animations!

Almost enough to abandon my Mage and grab a sword... Almost.

Maybe just a dagger :) ?

As I've said before, I absolutely love the side slash -- a thousand-fold improvement upon the original.

It's a shame Firefox detests videos from Photobucket. I wanted to see these.

Please do! It would save me a lot of work. :P

They work fine on my machine (using Firefox 3.5.6 on Windows 7). Have you tried upgrading the browser?

It's the newest version, 3.5.6, same as yours. Tried on both Linux and Windows XP, no dice.

Works fine on Linux here.

You running any firefox extensions? If so, you might try creating a new firefox profile that doesn't use any extensions and see if that works.

Could be something to do with your privacy settings, perhaps? Try adding Photobucket and the Bethesda forums to your list of trusted sites.
