No.

Later on I'll let anyone mess with the animation, for use with other mods.
edit: Changed my mind on this, will post about it later.

I would not like anyone to release a version of my animation they tweaked in an animation related mod though, unless I was credited as co-author of the walk animation and it was also released as a resource.

Right, I wasn't planning on releasing it though, I would've just let you take all the credit. I'll take a look at it though, I really gotta figure out this animation stuff sooner or later, I've had http://s5.tinypic.com/2v3phsg.jpg sitting around with a partially rigged skeleton for too long. :toughninja:

If you decide to tweak my animation, keep it to yourself for now.
I'll be pissed off if you post up a tweaked version of my animation, just warning you beforehand. Leave it til I'm finished tweaking it.

If you want to learn to animate, then animate from scratch, it's the best way to learn.
Also why do you quote the post directly above yours, it's kinda annoying if I'm editing stuff.

Hey hey it's ok, I just wanted to check it out.

I already know how to animate, it's just the technical stuff that's more hard, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSqOOgxqXZY&feature=channel_page.

Anyways, nice work, I'm anxious to see more from you. ^_^

Just making sure you understand SWG. ^_-
Once I've finished tweaking it, you can make your own animations with it, anyone can as long as they give me a little credit.

If my mod helps make some cool animations, that's fine by me, I just want the chance to tweak it myself first before I make it a resource.

Your emote scares me. It's like... it's winking at different intensities.

Haha, yeah, it's supposed to look like this ^_~ but looks a little wierd in this font imo, so I use a dash instead.
Actually, just seen it in the preview window and it looks fine, just looks wierd when I'm typing it then. :D

I've updated the animations, there's more swing on the arms in the walk, and I've made the run animation replacer worthy (hopefully), they're also generally smoother and better quality.
The changes can be seen in this video: http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu195/mark507_album/morrowind/animations/?action=view¤t=Dirnae_animation_pack_1.flv
Hopefully you'll be able to see that fine, if not, I might have to reupload it to Youtube or something.

I'll be making more animation packs in the future, however they'll be tailored specifically for NPCs (got some cool ideas which wont be suitable as replacers).
Feel free to tweak the animations and include them in other mods now, credit is appreciated but not required, and you must release any alterations as freely tweakable resources as well.

These are my thoughts...without reading anything here. I just read the first post, haven't gone through the rest.

I think it looks really good. I think it is a good improvement compared to the original.

Yeah, there are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9Nz7h_rvgg&fmt=18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsIQhzqINRs&fmt=18, I thank Mireneye for favouriting the second, else I probably wouldn't have seen them. ^_^

And Dirane, that animation looks wonderful, it looks so natural! :)

Ahaha.. my youtube geekery knows of no bounds.

Nice to see you finally releasing these animation =)

Also SWG, I may be partially the reason why arms swung less, I was walking around my apartment casually one day realizing humans don't really move their arms much at all while walking, running however is a different matter. Games usually take some artistic approaches and exaggerates movement, but it looks natural to us because that is how we suspect we move, also partially because it looks good in game and in other games.

Thanks.
I may complete the rest of the walking/running animations later to include weapons.

I may also have to start a thread for my second animation pack in a bit, I'm looking for ideas for animation resources, and already have a couple of (ambitious) ideas.
Hint: They'll be combat based animations.

 Glad to see this being released! They're great, and have been used in my game as soon as I got hold of them. Hopefully this Russian animator will fulfill his works, though I won't hold my breath.

I await your next project with much eagerness! Keep up the good work.

If he stops I'll start again.
I can start making replacement animations again if people want me to, but there's a lot of other things I want to do.

Noob question- is it possible to only replace the running animation? I may be in the minority, but I actually like the original walking animation, and replacing it with the one in the video seems unappealing
