Some things floating through my mind.

These are some things that I just started thinking about after I started my last playthrough.

1. Where do all these dragons come from? I know Alduin is raising them but good lord there is a lot (I understand they are a normal spawning enemy). Where they hiding?

2. After watching an old let's play by Tobuscus, his wolves howled before attacking. I remember mine doing the same when I bought it at launch but now, they seem to just come outta nowhere. Why don't they howl?

3. When I absorb a dragon soul near a guard, isn't it odd that he might say "I got to thinking, maybe I'm the dragonborn, I just don't know it yet." (speaking of guards, thank you for reminding me the Dawnguard is being reformed a million times haha).

Sorry for the stupid questions, they've just been rattling around in my head. Also, if anyone takes this as Skyrim hate, it isn't, I've been in love with Skyrim since 2011.

I always find that thinking and skyrim don't go together haha.

I'll try and answer the questions though.

1-Maybe other regions?

2-That might be the 1.9 bug thing or something.

3-We all know the guards of skyrim are about as smart as a spoon and they LOVE telling us the same stuff over and over and over..

Wolves stopped howling when patch 1.6 was released. The howling animation works but the sound doesn't.

Yup! Exactly what I got on PC and PS3. I'll admit, I do miss the howling.

I use the Unofficial Patch. Maybe this is why I hear them? All I know is the last time I last played about four hours ago I hear a wolf howl.... *shrugs again*

Yea I think the unofficial patch fixes the issue. Gonna test it on right now.

1. Maybe Delphine was wrong and not even the Dragonborn can REALLY kill a dragon. :P

2. 1.9 bug as mentioned, and the USKP fixes this if you're on PC.

3. Guards are stupid. (Another nice mod is called Reduced Distance Greeting or something like that. You have to get much closer to an npc before they start to greet you. This not only makes guards less inclined to tell you that the Dawnguard has been reformed, it also makes Nazeem blissfully quiet.)

Dragons were never gone. They were just invisible and very, very quiet.

I can deal with Alduin raising dragons all over the place, after all he's the immortal offspring of Akatosh. But--they still keep turning up after he's dead. Since they're turning up in places that the Dragonborn has already killed them, someone/thing else must be raising them.....
