Some tips on "must have" mods for Morrowind?

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 11:40 am

Hello everyone,
I resinstalled Morrowind last night and I'm realizing that while Morrowind was an amazing game, it's dated, and it's graphics are dated also. I have searched for a few mods, and I have installed the following:

Darknuts Better Armor Textures
Darknuts Better Weapons Textures
Better Clothes
Better Bodies
Better Heads
MW Texture Pack

Now, with those installed, I'm ok with how the textures on pretty much everything looks now. I want to keep the general "feel" of what Morrowind was, the style, the general atmosphere, etc. I don't want any mods that completely just blatantly change the game, no anime mods, nothing stupid like that. Just things that make it better while keeping it the same.

Given the mods I've listed, and yes, those are the only mods I've installed, all of which are purely texture mods I believe, can anyone suggest a mod to me that makes the game world feel more..realistic? I find just empty fields with nothing in them except a rock and a bush over the span of an acre, that's not realistic at all. Any mods that add more trees, bushes, make the cities more..vibrant? But they can NOT interfere with the mods I have installed, MW texture pack has to stay, it makes everything look so great. :)

Morrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul is a total MUST in my opinion, you should check it out.

Starfire NPCs for more life around Morrowind, or there's MCA, but that has some bugs that can crash the game IIRC.

Also, Hold It, and Animated Morrowind, go together nice with NPC Additions.

Wolli!?!? Since when did you have your own website!?! Man I leave you for a year and you surpass me in modding abilities. Still doesn't make up for being a traitor though, heard about your little exile :P (just messing around)

Anyways, OP, what's your system specs?

Anything released by TheDayWalker, which is to say, nothing.

Nah seriously though, get Living Cities of Vvardenfell, which adds schedules to NPCs, and LGNPC, which gives them better dialogue.
Neither are particularly what you're asking for, but you'll thank me for suggesting them. edit: the new thumbsup smiley is totally gay, so have an african american guy with a beatbox instead. :jammasterjay:
