Some of you will create the same character you have in Oblivion on Skyrim?
Just asking...

First, I'll wait until a year or so after release to let the game/bugs/wiki/patches etc all settle down.

Acadian will likely travel there first, alone. He will learn and discover the game. He is strong, skilled in several disciplines and enduring enough to successfully survive in any game environment.

Should the game please us, then Buffy will add Skyrim to her list of provinces to visit.

A descendant possibly, unless the time frame between the two games is short.

Marksmanship, will always be a common thread in my characters. I'm excited to see about magic there.

Glargg has always tramped through new games first. He's a light-armored Barbarian swordsman who has appeared in various role-playing games since the early 1990s. My avatar is a rendering of his imagined appearance.

I haven't recreated any characters from Morrowind in Oblivion so I doubt I'll recreate any of my characters from Oblivion in Skyrim. OK, maybe I'll make another red Orc.

I'll probably recreate my four current characters in Skyrim, along with a nordic ranger.

I'l definitely be playing as the same character from Oblivion. I'll just roleplay her that a mage caught her and inprisoned her in a magical realm like Uriel was in Arena and have her be sealed there until the year before Skyrim occurs. Then she'll travel to Skyrim because of a rumor about Dragons and then the rest I'll find out in the coming months.

I think I'll definitely let Camarilla visit Skyrim. She's a good all-round character who can deal with most scenarios and quest types. She's really good for a first play-through. In Skyrim, though, I might change her Primary and Secondary skills around a bit to fit my playing style a little better. After she has completed Oblivion I want to try an assassin type character before I consider Skyrim. Like Acadian, I'm going to wait until all patches are out and there's a good selection of mods.

Not my Oblivion character Lothran, but most likely my Morrowind character Karl. As a Nord he longs for his homeland, though he very much like it in Solstheim where he currently is.

Yes. It is going to be one of the same 4-5 character concepts that I love rp'ing. That's good for other games too.

I am.
My first and main character for Morrowind was a Bosmer and assassin (Morag Tong)
I recreated him for Oblivion to infiltrate and destroy the Dark Brotherhood. (which of course turned out to be easier than planned).
So I will be doing the same for Skyrim. I am sure the Nords will keep me on my toes, and inadverdently entice me to target them.
basically , slowly making his way around Tamriel.

I recreated a few of my Morrowind characters in Oblivion, and I will definitely reuse one or two of my Nords in Skyrim.

Same here. I did that with Oblivion, Morrowind, and Fallout 3.

Once I do get it, I will likely make the same type of character. I don't know if it will be the same guy or not. Depends on how close the game plays to Oblivion.

I'm going to make a descendent.
No matter the time frame, after becoming the CoC, Divine Crusader and Grand Champion of the Arena, Rythe has decided its time to settle down, now starting to show lots of age.

The character itself, skills, birthsign, attributes, etc., will be as close to my oblivion character, Frosty, as possible. His name will most likely be Frosty too. As far as roleplaying is concerned he'll be the same Frosty from Oblivion who

lived without aging in the Shivering Isles with his fellow madmen

Most definitely. Valiri follows me into just about every video game I play (at least the ones that let me choose who my character will be), not just TES either. I'll likely bring a few others along as well. I too will likely wait until the patches or GOTY version comes out though.

Yes. Calacirya was my first character in Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion, and will be the first to visit Skyrim as well. :)

I tend to prefer playing as a dunmer will most likely be my first character choice but won't be a recreation of any that I've played before. That or an altmer or breton depends on how the character creation is chances are I'll like dark elves looks the best.

I usually find role-play pretty hopeless until I learn a game's mechanics a bit, and get a sense of the situation, so I just send in Glargg the barbarian, who is durable and simple to operate. :)

The "initial test character" for me is the default one the game gives me, as that also tells me something about the development team's idea of a character. The second one is where I start to consider whether I want a new character or to re-create an old one.
