Weirdest thing . . . I was googling to find the rules of the house Telvanni, so I could copy them into a post in the Skyrim forum to compare the Telvanni with the Stormcloaks (in terms of racism and xenophobia) and I found a thread I had started in the Morrowind forum a couple years back. But it was a different forum and someone had changed the names of all the posters.

Anyone know what the gamesas site is all about? I don't think they are allowed to copy Bethesda's forum into a new website, and not sure why they would even want to . . .

It's not very new. They were likely also the owners of Gamefallout and Gameskyrim, scam forums produced to generate revenue when users hit their site and saw ads, and likely to also phish users who think their site is legit.

Amazing what types of scams people will do on the Internet. Too bad Bethesda's forums are not as searchable as the scam forums. I can never find anything I am looking for here. But a quick google search of "Telvanni rules" pops up my answer in a scam forum. Quite a coincidence that it was something I myself had posted years earlier.

It's very hard to find anything on these forums by using search like Google, because the site http://www.gamesas.com/robots.txt most of the forum contents. The robots.txt is just a set of rules, not having any real blocking power, but most search engines just obey rules set in that file.

It's too bad Beth does not allow Google to search the forums. Beth's internal search function is broken beyond belief.

We have let the admins know of these copy cat forums.
Unfortunately, as soon as one gets taken down another pops up to replace it.
