Someone To Hold My Hand...

Post » Sat Sep 06, 2014 6:27 pm

I just know that I am going to get flack up one side and down the other like no one even cares to experience simple for asking this, but can someone please hold my hand?

I have been trying brutally hard to get the right modded game set up and so far I have made a great deal of progress, for example discovering the full functionality of NMM...

What I would really like from someone, or multiple people, is help in getting my act together... I have seen a great many mods out there and know that I probably havent even seen a tenth of whats out there. I have heard of LOOT, and am presently tinkering to understand exactly what it needs. I have heard of wrye bash, but at this point I am oblivious to what its for. My biggest problem of all problems is that I have slow scripting issues which I dont believe is related to graphics, but since I brought up graphics in my last thread thats all people want to tell me to mess with even though I dont understand how graphics effects how long it takes for me to get on my horse...

I am trying very hard to get everything in order and I am actively learning how things work around here, but often I find the stress of things to be just too much...

So if anyone here as the kindness and a measure of patience to help me understand all of this so I can finally play the game without grief, I would be very very very grateful...

NMM is a hand-holding thing. I have never used it, because I come from the old school of using mods.

Wrye Bash is mostly for the bash patch. It is a file you keep at the end of your load order. It helps tie other mods together smoothly. It also has tweaks you can set, like object weights...arrow retrieval chances...etc.
