Something change?

Title explains it all. The game is now only using 14% of my gtx480. It was not doing this yesterday. Everything on my end is fine. Every other game and benchmark I own are fine. It is not a hardware or user issue. That .dll fix listed is not a fix as it degrades visual quality. Something I am not willing to accept. Can we be told if this is a Bethesda issue and you are working on it, or is it a Nvidia driver problem?

I will have to ask for a refund from steam if its not fixed by next week. Contrary to what people say on these forums you can get a refund for defective games. I have done it many times. Well three to be exact.

This post is not about a refund, this post is about me wanting to play this game very badly, but I cannot :(

the .dll fix DOES NOT degrade visual quality, it sets the default to medium, just turn your settings back up.

I did that. When I looked at faces of NPC,s and the outer terrain, it was as if medium was still set. So it does. I will experiment more.

Also. Yesterday the FPS drop was not this bad I would get 15-25 worst case. Now I am getting 1-2.

My visual quality was as specified - ultra - both in the settings and in what I see with my eyes (sharp textures on terrain/objects etc) using that d3d dll fix. Make sure you have the right file and its in the right place. Also it may only work with NVIDIA graphics cards im not sure.

Make sure you set it on ultra settings and it sticks.... because it does in fact work.

Hmm ok odd. Not sure why but after I was setting it to ultra it was still on medium. Its working fine now.
I find that strange, and also find it strange how I had such a difference in FPS from last night to this morning. Have not had time to see if those flashes are gone. If so I am one happy gamer :)

Not for everyone... I get frames rates @60FPS then as I move they drop to 5-10FPS...

I did notice the game is more playable now that i have removed MSI afterburner and EVGA precision because of a fan polling bug. But the performance is still [censored].

Some people have luck with setting water multisampling to low in the advanced options of the launcher under the water tab. Don't know if that helps the NPC thing though.
