Something I found kind of funny

So perhaps it's just me, but am I the only one who kind of feels like the lyrics to 'Why dont you do right?' kind of mix together with The Strip and it's revolving around money and it's vicious ability to make you broke then cast you out as quick as you enter?

Sorry if this is random, but I keep thinking about this

Why Don't You Do Right

You had plenty money, 1922
You let other women make a fool of you
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some money too

You're sittin' there and wonderin' what it's all about
You ain't got no money, they will put you out
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some money too

If you had prepared twenty years ago
You wouldn't be a-wanderin' from door to door
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some money too

I fell for your jivin' and I took you in
Now all you got to offer me's a drink of gin
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Get out of here and get me some money too
Why don't you do right, like some other men do?
Like some other men do

Just so we all can remember, As I have a rubish memory for anything but opinions and feelings.

Some of it speaks of the strip and it's money lust.
Other bits talk to me of how if you planned ahead better, things would not be as screwed up now.
Then others are about treating people with more respect and less egotism

No worries, just don't forget in future or it's the cross for you ( JK. )

You're right it's quite apt on many levels.
I see bits of the NCR, House, CL and even the fiends / Khans.
While the heroine seems to be the Mojave complaining that all is not right, and they should all "get out of here".

So it's about the ncr then, lol.

Nope the song irl is of America during the depression.
That and lousy husbands.

Yeah, it's just you. :spotted owl:

Really, I think it has meaning for more than just the strip. it can be a haunting conscience throughout the game. I don't think that the Devs choices for songs were completely random or based on clearances alone. There are quite a few most apropos to the gameā€”not the least of which is "Big Iron."

Now why didn't they pick "I shot the Sheriff"?
