Something I miss..... could Skyrim make me happy?

Not sure if anyone here has played Thief: Deadly Shadows which originally came out for Xbox a long time ago. I loved this game, and unfortunately a save corrupted my file right near the end of the game. BUT, the gamely was awesome. A thief equipped with a blade, bow and a blackjack. Mind you the bow could be equipped with water arrows for extinguish torches, noise maker arrows for distraction, smoke arrows, poison arrows. I think that after looking at that game, I want my character to be exactly how that character was. Completely hidden in killing his foes and creating diversion. Now I was wondering, Skyrim gives me my own future but also with a mindful set of skills. I was just comparing previous TES and Thief Deadly Shadows. How awesome would different types of arrows be (the ones i just mentioned) be in Skyrim. Now I really don't think this will happen, considering arrows are harder to come by in Skyrim from what we know, but just imagine: how many more people would roll an Assassin/Thief?

There's not different types of arrows in any other sense than that they do more or less damage. However, you can enchant your bow and poisons your arrows.

and exactly when could you enchant arrows to begin with?

@OP yes, thief was a great game but some of the arrows were a bit 'odd'. supposedly skyrim has improved on archery quite a bit but i don't think it will have water, moss, rope, etc arrows in it. we should be able to apply poison to arrows though and a bow can be enchanted which will affect any arrows shot from it as long as the bow has a charge.

Big Thief fan here :foodndrink: I hear you, once you played a Thief, you always search for its brilliant stealth gameplay in other games. Of all the RPGs I played, TES is the closest to Thief. But it's still so much to do...

HAHAHAHAHA i like this man. cept...why don't you go find the "thief's weapons" mod in oblivion. it gives you all of these things. and i guess you could talk to the modder and see and he'll do it again for skyrim. That mod is the reason i went out and got Thief: Deadly Shadows. It was a good game. So yea, I feel that this WILL NOT be implemented into the actual game. But go talk to the modder and see if he'll do it again.

Didn't they have some guy from thief work on OB? Was really anticipating a Thief-like stealth gameplay in TESIV. You can guess how horribly disappointed I was with what we got.

An OB mod already did it but sure would be nice in Skyrim considering we can reportedly put out torches. And I REALLY doubt arrows will be that rare. Resources are never hard to come by in vanilla Beth games, not even in FO3 where the setting demanded that it should be
