you have a good point, sir. name it something crazy. in the end, it will be known as the proposal...but a funny name would just be the cover. i will always love the concept of damsel in distress, but if i tell him the name? orrrrr... just have him play? i don't know. maybe i can say that i downloaded a mod called _______ and it's too hard to get past a certain point. he would know that the mansion that andy is building doesnt belong where it will be planted, right? so he will know its a mod right off the bat. might as well, just plan on telling him the mod name when i ask him to do it for me, then he will have NO idea what its about when he hears a crazy name lol. but if we do a cover, .. what to name it? lol. something odd, yet....post apocalyptic, and sweet...hhhmmmmmm

I like 1+1=1 as a quest title.

it also allows some ideas to flow from it.
for example. this quest title looks like binary with all the 1's.
Binary leads to the idea of computer and robots.
which could give us our enemies...robots.
if malfunctioning robots wer used this allows for
1) more slightly surreal dialogue....
silly example malfuctioning robot guard at gate.
"bzzz Love, you can only enter if you obey me and tell me if you are honourable..."
or
"We have stolen the most prescius thing in the world"
2) Robots could allow for the use of free text to speech prgrograms to be used.
3) no lip synch.

Don't worry foxy, Acky has a new hobby. He found a nest of Yao Guai pups with no mother (I'm suspecting Acky killed and ate her) and now he's raising them to be "guard dogs".. 3Dogg keeps telling him he shouldn't feed them and now I know why. They follow him around like baby ducks.. :facepalm:

Ok, so it's a nest of ducklings that he found outback by the water here (behind my house in RL) and not actual Yao Guai pups (would be kinda cool though).
Mommy duck seemed to have disappeared because the four ducklings were seriously undernourished, the nest a total mess. It didn't take a genius to see that the parents weren't around for some reason (no, I don't actually think my dog ate them, he's too goofy to catch a duck )
And now they've imprinted on my dog, and follow him around all the time. I contacted the local bird sanctuary here on the island and they said that they would pick the birds up in a few days or so. I got a box of starter crumbs and they seem to be doing fine.
And of course my son wants to keep them :nod:
Which is why I've been a little preoccupied for the last two days

I can say that I'm almost done with the interior layout (working nights, lots of coffee, bags under my eyes that look like they're filled with potato's).
Just a few more things and I'll get it to skykappa.

A thought for the quest -since I'm building it -
Once hubby gets up to the room and frees Bride 2B, there should a line in the words of:
Will you marry me, yadda yadda whatever...
.
..and take me as your lifelong companion.

When hubby says YES, then al of a sudden Bride 2B transforms into A1 Rambolina, wearing some slightly risky leathers, and an M-60 with ammobelts slung over her shoulder. All the vanquished monsters and meanies respawn and they now have to fight a way out of the building.
Once outside there is some form of ridable beast (horse, Yao Guai, deathclaw, whatever) with a dozen tincans dangling behind and tied to it's tail with a sign saying:

"Going to Fallout:Vegas to get Married"

Unless Bethesda isn't planning on promoting it at the Comicon, in which case make it into

"Going to New Reno to get hitched"

I belive Puffy already went for `Post Apocolyptic Love Slave`! An odd sense of humour she has but good. lol.



Great vision Andy, really funny, but IMHO I think we should just concentrate on the event itself, blend it as seemlessly as possible with the game, but then its done and gone.

To have a rideable beast requires FOSE. Which means that the game can`t be launched from Windows in the normal way. He`s bound to notice that. Also, it can be buggy sometimes with the latest update and a crash half way through would be catastrophic.

It also means getting more permissions and distributing more content for Puffy to install, and extra WIP time as we`d need more dialogue and lip files.

And although the Rideable beasts mod is great with a great team and some wonderful scripting and commitment, I dont think its polished enough for the professional touch we need to have here. (DISCALIMER: Just my opinion!)

Do we want to have any major impact on his gaming experience after the Proposal? I personally would rather just let him get on with his legendary play through of the game. He`ll remember it forever anyway!

I feel like a wet blanket though. Sorry friend. What do you think Puffy?

Just a Little Progress update.

Old_Andy has finished designing the world space!!

Many, many thanks to Old_Andy.

Although I haven`t seen it yet, I`m sure it will be great!

Now he can return to his own huge WIP for more world building fun. lol.

There are a few things that need to be done before I can forward the files to Attentater5. The doors need to be put it, Cluttering, LOD for the exterior of the building, Navmeshing and combining with the custom race, sound and object items.

I`ve not done Cluttering, LOD or Navmeshing before, I`m fairly confident that with the Bethesda GECK tutorials on YouTube, I can finish up sucessfully and pass on fairly soon.

That being said, if anyone has experience in any of these, would you mind dropping a quick post here so that I know who I can ask for advice if I get stuck?
