IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiii lovvvvvvveeee itttt omgggggggggg its huge! i was joking when i was teasing you about building a mansion! what are you doing, MAN!? lol. i just asked for a shack with some bars!!!!! lol. ANDY!

sincerely, i love it. i love what you,ve done and i am amazed. thank you so much. :D

i was secretly hoping for a chandelier and you put one in!!! i am going to point it out to my bf a hundred times when we see it together lol. my mom is an antique dealer, so i have always had an affinity for such pieces since i have grown up with them. :D the setting reminds me of beauty and the beast, too, the pretty rooms and wallllss.. :D mmm :D this is going to be extravagant. :)

about those things that are the next step, skykappa... :( i don't want you guys to try and figure something totally new. it would be my fault for your time in doing so. :( eek. i hope someone can help you out, i wish i could help you out. are the hardest parts over? or is this the big, final stretch for the project? i wish, now that we have come to this part, that this would be the cake walk because of all of the things that everyone has contributed with.

i also want to thank those who are about to enter the project, in advance. myyy gosh.. are you guys as excited as i am? :D

------

oh, and i just got to his house for the weekend...earlier today he was talking about some song called "synthpop kitten" or something, then he called me a kitten, then asked if i'd rather be called a puppy. LOL. all i could do was laugh. later he will understand. ;)

and i couldn't wait the whole weekend to come to my addiction of this thread, so i brought his laptop with me. he is forbidden from it and i am not going on his comp because he has too many browsers that i would have to trace my steps with in the "history". this is to keep it simple and feed my addiction of you guys. :D

okido, navmesh on the outside of the building and catwalks is done :)
I am such a wuss.
I thought it was really complicated... at least that's how the tutorial made it out to look :P

Acolyte understands navmesh real good he does...
you puts a foot in front and then yous falls forward and puts the other foot in front of the first one, and keeps falling forward without falling down -sounds complicated, but it isn't :)

Kinda. Think of the carpets they lay down in museums to let people know where they can walk and where not. Same thing here. After initial interior building and laying out floors walls ceilings etc.. and putting all the obstacles item in, you then layout a set of interlocking triangles -literally, you put three dots and connect them.. until the entire floor space is covered. Everywhere where there isn't any navigational meshes (triangles) the computer won't allow any actors (the NPC/badguys I was talking about) to go.

Here, I'll make a few screenies

http://s633.photobucket.com/albums/uu56/old_andy/?action=view¤t=001.jpg

http://s633.photobucket.com/albums/uu56/old_andy/?action=view¤t=002.jpg (see the red on the floor? Hard to see but it's there.)

http://s633.photobucket.com/albums/uu56/old_andy/?action=view¤t=003.jpg

I'll do the grandhall tomorrow and get this to SkyKappa straight after

now he's gone and watched all the navmesh tutorials all day long.. :P
Sorry buddy, I just figured sinceI know the structure it would be easier..
Hey! I was right for a change :woot:
Break out the party favors!!!

I'm not even going to lie. I plan on proposing to my woman within the year, and I'm trying to think of something spectacular like that. You have a great taste. Especially over Fallout 3. Love that game.

Maybe she can call and pay Bethesda to do it for her ;).

But seriously great taste. Awesome proposal. Now what to do about my proposal. :thinkingvaultboy: ;)

Arrgh! Acky ole buddy! You forgot "the use of firearms, explosives, and all other materials classified as weapons under either police department regulations or department of Defence definitions of ordnance in any wedding proposal is not allowed. Furthermore any proposals to and from persons working in Hollywood or the Music Industry, or to and from persons who have ever been on the cover of any periodical that has a circulation over 100,000 or has been a guest on any talk or reality show or is otherwise regarded as a 'media personage' shall require contract version # 272 (B) / 33 - 66/43 which states that any attempt by originators of proposal to sell proposal or wedding exclusives to any media organization will cause said proposal to be regarded as a commercial transaction and publicity seeking, and therefore void the contract."

holy wow, i have never seen so many a-disclaimer in my life! lol. whatever that could possibly belong to must be an extensive ware. lol

OF COURSE i will enjoy, ANDY!, i am enjoying it now and all i have are images and daydreams. ohhh myyy gosh. :D i am so sorry that you are doing so much work! you make me feel like a slave driver when i am supposed to be the one who is enslaved. :P lol. but really, thanks so much. :) you guys are gonna be famous, i know it !

omg, i am going to have to put together a video to go along with it, which will be a type of "behind the scenes with the developers" video! lol. i will come up with an interview set of questions and then, after i see the mod, i might come up with specialized specific questions, have you guys video your answers then put them together in a mini video awww :)

lol, i love the part where you say that your son is potty trained and acky, almost LOL. hey, maybe link to some pics of your island, i would love to see it, sounds so pretty, too . :D i tried to get a key made to my bf's apt and it has an island depicted on it...but its the 3rd key and doesn't open the door. today, a diff hardware store worked the same key and this time, it UNLOCKED the door...but only once. LOL.. one time use. didn't even lock the door. so my "island" is broken.

SKYKAPPA, i have a feeling that you are carrying this project to the oven, to bake. as if all of the mixing has been done, and now it's just time to prepare. this makes me nervous because we are getting so close! *eek*! thank you for culminating such progress!

-- on a side note, i know he won't say no! lol. but if he does in the game, after he plays the YES, of course, i think a monster is going to kill him. he won't say "no", though. :) You guys...today...oh wow...Something crazy happened. We went to an ATT store and he bought me an iphone 3g-s. WOW. So...that means he has me, committed, to his cell phone plan, I am leaving my carrier (t mobile), and joining his family plan. We are both leaving T-Mobile and getting new iPhones together. Oh my. That's deep and waaay expensive, he is insane. I cannot believe that. Another thing that I cannot believe..We went to Los Angeles, the Jewelry District, on Saturday. Discussed the design of my engagement ring with the jeweler and he knows exactly what I wanted to put together, so I will have a beautifully crafted ring for my special day. :D (Not going with the traditional diamond center stone, I am going with Morganite, which is a lower-cost, yet rare and beautiful, light pink alternative. :) Heart shape! It will be sooo perdy when the time comes. :D ) *** OMG i am so excited about his ring!!! and its INGAME omg!! i cannot WAIT lol ***

he is going to be so blown away with what we are doing, here. myyy gosh. i also can't wait for him to say hello to you guys after this plan has taken action. i think that i am going to have to send this proposal story into history book publishers just so they can document the team, here, at the gamesas forums. i can't get over this.

(((( my GOSH, i can never make a post with a correct number of emoticons! it always tells me that i have too many! grr ))))

Yeah, nine is the limit. I'm thinking they have a single-digit counter for emo's per post.
The disclaimer is just handy to have around :hehe:
Don't worry about the work :D This has been more fun than a lot of things I've lived through, and I can't imagine a worthier cause. As for the video interview, uhh, I'm camera shy, and somewhat hideous imo.. but ok.. sure.
I live on the first island of the Dutch/German/Danish archipelago known as the Wadden Islands, with on one side the North Sea and between us and the mainland the Wadden Sea. It has a population of maybe 12.000, spread out over seven villages and the the surrounding countryside on the isalnd. I live in the "capitol" village, population 5000 and we just started building a new townhall and breaking down the old one (no regrets, it was a 70s monstrosity, glad to be rid of it.)
No McDee's, no Pizzahut, just mom and pop burgers and snacks (it's still not good for you, but better prepared imo)
360 degrees there's a beach -some of which is behind massive levy's -we call them dykes, you call them "women in comfortable shoes"
couple of classical windmills,
60.000 sheep -it's an industry
60.000 tourists -the other industry
and in the low season, it's just us :)

Only way anyone is getting me off of this island is if someone offers me a massive amount of money to make video games for them...

And I have to be able to live in the Fairfax, Va/Vienna, Md area, because that's where my Dad lives and I want him to be able to see his grandson too..
But I'm not naming names :)

Acolyte's gonna have to go into quarantine...

again...

and it's not like he's bit anyone, lately.. well, not hard at least.
