Something Old, Something New. Borrowed. Blue?

It sounds beautiful. Just out of curiosity, weren't you some kind of elite soldier in a former life?
:embarrass:
If by "elite" you mean I got shot at more often than not because I tended to get myself put in places where such things are commonplace..
..and I'm still svcking O2 through the correct medically prescribed holes in my body,
then sure.. you could say that.
I joined the Corps while studying at San Diego State (Hi puffy) and afterwards lived in Amsterdam while I worked for a company abroad. Now me old feet have taken me to these shores.. and it's nice.
weird to think that I'm retired for good in that regard.. usually it would be around now that I would start slowly looking for a new contract of stationing -these days short term contracts only because of my son, but before he was born they were usually 6-9 month deployments. Then the same amount or so down time, then back in the saddle. Sometimes I worked IT, but it was more to have something to do and a way to keep up than for the money. Although the IT money was never bad.

Buddy, I've re-edited this three times before posting and I really can't be more specific than this.
And this is pushing it.

But if you ever find yourself on the most Northern Tip of the North Holland peninsula, take the ferry over (3 euros pp) and I'll get a barbecue going

Andy

ps this invite is for anyone I suppose..., and if you're a creep or psycho you'll have the smart sense to stay away, since your kind tend to never leave.... Acolyte can verify this, he keeps trying to dig them up.

Hi Puffy

I hope your well

The work I`m doing here is no more than Old_andy`s, Attentater5`s or Sesom`s contributions. We`re probably about half way through now.

I`ve got cluttering, lighting and NPC population to finish before forwarding on to Attentater5 with Sesom`s Audio and lip files for him to add in the quest and dialogue. I combined the esp`s with your Custom Race and Old_Andy`s world space and cluttered half so far.

I stopped there when I noticed that the Pitt.esm was active, meaning that something that Old_Andy has placed in the esp file he sent me, is using resources from The Pitt.esm add-on. I`m not sure what item/s though.

Are you ok with buying and installing the add-on, or shall we remove the items?

Oops, my bad. It has the exterior Industrial catwalk scaffolding and some regular scaffolding on the outside.
Sorry. I forgot.

Seemed obvious to me, half your head is missing and replaced by a borg implant, and the other half has turned into Homer Simpson. :)

Whatever happened to you, it must have been Very bad.

I'm guessing nuclear accident, matches the theme all the way around. :nuke:

No worries.

We`ll wait and see what Puffy says about getting the DLC. It`d mean replacing quite a large section otherwise.

too bad it's the only implant :nope:

@ SkyKappa
I left the side room of the lobby empty so that they can be filled with regular goons who run out and shoot.
The galleries are the same, with a goon here or there for added discomfort

Main hall is simple. All he has to do is climb up to the top where the door to Puffy puppy's room is (did he get the key?)
Thats why there is an office atop of the sweeping stairs with the desk.
The office, the fountain and the stair are there in case anyone wants to script a Tony Montana/Al Pacino slaver boss standing there with a M16/M203 going "Come and meet my little friend!!" :D

Main problem with the main hall: four stories of goons with cover and an open view of the stairs. So maybe he takes the goons out first?
Doors. I put a unique marker item to identify which doorways lead to where.. so the Garden Gnome out side the front door corresponds with the Garden Gnome in the lobby etc etc

Concept: there is a direct way straight up the outside stairs to Puffy puppy's room, that door ought to be locked as well. The other entrances lead to different areas in either the lobby or the main hall.

I hope it's not too messy for you

Yup, thats the one, if it's called "The Pitts" you've got it. The first is Operation: Anchorage , then the Pitts, and now Broken Steel was released. Next up comes post apocalyptic rednecks in Point Lookout and later on we git bug-eyed martians in Mothership Zeta, I believe.

Next up comes post apocalyptic rednecks in Point Lookout.

Its out today. I`m going to enjoy playing it later. The part on the trailer where you see your character fall through multiple floors of wood interests me. I want to look at the nif file and the GECK setup. You know I`m almost positive that Bethesda Staff trawl these forums and add easter eggs in the form of mesh/GECK resources based on what were saying. SO THANKS IF YOUR READING! lol

Well, if you already have the Pitt then no problem. Game on!

I`ve done the lighting and the cluttering of the main hall, haven`t done the optimization yet, so no in-game pictures yet, unless you like grey mist, just GECK. I made a custom few meshes/textures for the look of the area too. One of them is in the pictures. Remember, they are Post Apocalyptic Slavers while your looking. lol.

Here it is at the moment.

Skycappa, "head" is Navyspeak - in Ole Andy's situation, Marinespeak - for "toilet" "lavoratory" "the throne"...or to be scientific and disgusting, the ceramic bathroom appliance through which liquid and solid human waste products, toilet paper, fingernails, hair gunking up bathtub drains, and those greasy french fries you ate with the help of twenty beers, are disposed of.

OOps, and there are buckets instead of toilets! Puffy! If your man has to "go" in there, tell him he'll have to take out his bucket himself while you stand fifty feet away with a clothespin over your nose!

what he said, sorry :embarrass:
Ah... the building actually hasn't been added to any wasteland yet.. it's, ahh.. one of those things I wasn't sure about. So it's sitting in it's once interior space. Honestly, I couldn't think/find a location that worked for me, or flat enough..
I hope you have better luck

wow it loos awesomely gross! lol. bodies on chains! eee. lol. But I will make it out before I hang on one of those! lol. :D i love screen shots, so thank you for them!

the bathroom isss FUNNY lol. and a little ironic...I HATE BUCKETS. That's what we call them, at WORK...BUCKETS. The dogs poop on the ground and we are confined to one space, so we have to scoop the poop and put it in the little metal trash cans and later on, after Doggie Day Camp...Bucket Duty. (Taking gloves and the trash can over to a special toilet in a doggy "relief room" and banging the can to get everything out.) -That is the most disgusting part of our job at the PetsHotel. Thank goodness I am a Guest Services Associate and I am rarely in the back lol. WOW. I hate opening that lid to put more in because the fumes escape. So yeah, I fulfill my slave duties but not happily lol. This story is making more sense than you guys thought it would ;) lol.

AND...when we move out, i won't be working there anymore, so it is truely true. lol.

*laughing my head off*

Puffy! If you want to test your man's love for you...

Take him to your doggy day camp. tell him you suddenly have a headache, and then...hehe heh...tell him to EMPTY THOSE BUCKETS for you!!!

*Andy, don't take Acolyte there. He's such a doofus he will mistake the 'trash' for dark chocolate and... (self censored)*

I was at Comicon San Diego last year. I think I remember seeing some Brotherhood of Steel armor standing around but I can't remember if any easily accessible computers were present. I saw so much stuff it is actually hard for me to remember everything.

If you're going to do this at the con it would be cool if you could go through Gstaff and get it arranged ahead of time - if it is even possible. Usually convention machines are tucked away behind counters and inside enclosures so the public cannot mess with them directly. You know that part already, but what you also need to consider is that once the stuff is set up it is not necessarily easy for the techs to get in either. Combine that with hectic schedules and it may be too much to just show up at the "booth" and make your plea. You may have to show up on preview night and/or plea with Gstaff to get some kind of heads up ahead of time.

I'll be at Comicon this year too but I am just another fan. It's a crazy event with so very many people in attendance. I saw quite a few "vault dwellers" wandering around last year. I hope Bethesda has some sort of presence again this year.

Enjoy your time. I'll keep an eye out for you & good luck! :)

A little ingame image to show Puffy Behind Bars in Old_Andy`s world space.

I`ve cluttered, adjusted the navmesh to fit and optimised. Just the door markers and the world space to add before it can be passed on. I did a little more work on the face texture and face gen too. It looks better I think.

Where did you imagine the cage to be?

lol D.Foxy! i wish he would come to my work. some days i sit there behind the huge glass window (floor to ceiling, 20 feet or more, cement walls...) and I just daydream about who will come up to the glass next. i am in a huge display window and get payed to play with the dogs in front of ppl shopping at the store. i sometimes wish i would see my bf lol. one time my bro came, and my parents. once a girl came that i went to school with, with her kid and husband, showing the dogs to her baby. i felt very old at that moment.

lost dragon, who is Gstaff? and thanks for the ideas, i don't even know if gamesas will be there this year, but i can only hope, and then hope that they would have a computer set up for a quick QUESTION on sunday of comic con. that would be awesome. but also very crazy because i would never be able to make it, well, i would do it, but i would be sick with anxiety for DAYS lol.

and thank you for making such an extravagant place, andy! when skykappa puts me behind bars, it makes me look like a special slave to have been taken to such a building as this! lol. it is deserving of some crazy back story because this building looks like it merits a long history! lol, you know? :D is it possible to do that?

what if i were to have a story written up and he picks up a book or hacks a computer and it says the story on there? is that a long process or just a matter of cutting and pasting text with an access point? if it's simple, and you guys think it would be cool, i would love to write something up, or andy can give me a "background" of his history of the building or the slave union? skykappa? lol? :D orrr D.Foxy can give a witty line with his linguistic skills.

((((((( PLEASE please please.. lol...just an idea. if it will be difficult, or tedious, or its too late, annoying..plz plz don't hesitate to say so. I just thought it might be a good idea because this place looks like it needs a tie-in, and it's beautiful. :) just an idea! plus, i would love to contribute something more than some scripting lines and my voice lol.))))))))

Let me know what you think!

yes yes, and thank you for the pic, Skykappa! Saved! haha

*ahem*

In the 22something a little girl was born to a prominent BoS Captain couple in the Citadel.

As she grew older it was noticed that even while she was becoming fairly proficient in all kinds of weapons she also had a talent for befriending animals large and small. The first to notice this were the traders who passed by the Citadel, they discovered that their pack Brahmin would stop to be talked to and stroked by her.

Later a mini-crisis in the Citadel developed when it was discovered that the girl had tamed a MOLERAT and called it "Puffy" because, in her defence at the Citadel Inquiry on the Illegal Introduction of dangerous animals into BOS base areas, she said "It's just like a puppy when it's tamed, only a bit fluffier and puffier!" - which at once cause the Resident Wit in the Citadel to call her "Puffy Puppy". The name stuck. Molerat was killed to much wailing from our newly renamed Puffy Puppy who refused to eat meat for a month. Rumours say that descendants of said tame molerat were found by raiders who used them in molerat racing.

All the sugar bombs our Puffy ate in lieu of meat during her month long mourning caused her to go a bit mental, which is why she left the citadel wearing a summer frock and armed only with a unique power fist powered by alien batteries that causes a quazillion damage points, and an alien stealth boy that recharges itself in direct sunlight so that as long as you are walking by day you are more or less invisible. She left a note saying that she was going to find her Puppy.

Well, she got captured by Raiders in the night. and in the battle she lost both her unique weapons. Unfortunately the Raiders didn't believe her when she said she didn't have any more, so they are keeping her prisoner instead of eating or (gulp) doing worse to her...in the hope of her revealing the whereabouts of her alien weapon treasure trove.

Puppy discovered that she could tame radroaches, and so she trained radroaches to come on her whistle...while her guard was bringing her food she whistled, and in the ensuing panic with the guards running around whacking the roaches she slipped out and loaded an SOS distress call into the radio before she was caught again.

Now she waits for her prince in shining armour to arrive...
