I'm going old school for a while. Fallout, Fallout II, Baulder's Gate II, Icewind Dale II, Planescape: Torment, X-Wing Alliance, No One Lives Forever, and Grim Fandango.

I just bought LA Noire

So far, the best game out this year. GREAT story line and a game that actually makes you think. I'm hoping more like this are in the works.

Buy Witcher 2. Absolutely fantastic game with choices that change the course of the game completely so lots of replayability. :celebration:

You wanna pass the time? Get The Witcher 2, if your computer can handle it that is. Best looking game I have ever played. Definitely a contender for game of the year, plus its coming out for 360.

Wait...IT IS?! My dreams have been answered.

Mount and blade warband; after playing it you'll wish that combat system was in skyrim.

but it wouldnt work on a console.... :(

Yes!! Mount and Blade is the best. I second that the combat system should be in Skyrim. In fact I sent a letter to Beth. about how they should make their combat system more like M&B's. Also, I think Rage looks like it's going to be pretty good. I don't know when it's coming out, however.

The first Two Worlds was completely horrible, and so I haven't touched the second one. All I can remember from the first one though was that the combat system was: Hack, dodge, hack, dodge, hack, dodge, hack, dodge, hack, dodge, hack, dodge, hack, dodge, hack, dodge, etc... And if I'm remembering correctly there was one spell you could cast that would hold any creature in place while damaging them and if you just kept casting that you could never die. Absolutely revoltingly dumb combat system. Just such a terrible game that I can't believe I wasted both time and money on.
