Something I say this game NEEDS!

Post » Thu Apr 07, 2011 9:43 am

Call me crazy. But I wish I knew a way to tell the makers of them game my idea. They need to have a theater mode like Halo 3 because think about all the machinima's, movies, montages, and countless other types of videos you could make with all this customization. I just don't want to see it all go to waste. Just get some way to record and edit our games. Because I mostly play games to make movies because thats my passion. I've been waiting for this game since day one. I think it looks absloutely mind blowing. I just hope that there is a theater mode in store. So we can make awesome videos with all the customization and S.M.A.R.T Technology in our hands.

This has been brought up a lot already and I honestly don't think it will be out at launch... but you never know they may add it as a patch or DLC maybe. Keep your fingers crossed.

Theatre mode is welcomed and I would love to see machinima's with the SMART system and the customization. But, it's probably not included at launch.

Word. Although it would be a cool extra feature, it's certainly not going to make or break the game.

It wouldn't be surprising if someone made a camera-man mod for the game at the very least. A character with the ability to move around in any direction very quickly.

I'd like them to take Halo's version, and modify it to be a bit like the CoD version. At least, the part that let's you piece things together and submit it to YouTube.

I would word it like this: It's relevant, but not mandatory at launch.

A dolly-cam mod would be great.

Well, Shoutcaster mode like in their other games would do fine as well. You can view from any players standpoint or fly around the map. (Free view)
Additionally, shoutcaster mode revealed disguises and landmines, which can be quite handy for filming purposes.

I mean just watch all these trailers and gameplay videos. Just imagine all the machinima's that could be made. God. I want to be a movie director for a living. I went to an interview and college and showed them so of my Machinima's they told me they never saw anything like it. I would love to make a feature length film or just any kind of machinima but Heres the things that I lack.

1. A good game to really pull off good angles and a rewind fuction.
2. Most importantly ACTORS!!!!! Its hard to find people other then 10 years who don't listen.

If I had those things with my ideas. God I would make great machinima's and I know it!

By the way I have Xbox live. If anyone is interested in adding me.

Definitely wouldn't say it was needed but it sure would be neat. And probably not that hard to pull of since each cutscene it supposed to have your character in it anyways (shouldn't be too much more effort to make it 'player-side' controlled

yeah, only after experiencing my first game with theatre mode (black ops) did i realize how interesting/fun it was. It's not something that is needed in the game, but if the devs have some spare time, they could add a theatre mode, or even match replays (basically same thing) would be good.

A theatre mode is a very improved version of simple replays.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo-O05orR00 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq02X8knYug have the best theatre-modes today.

The only bad thing is GTA IV for only has a theatre for PC. Uncharted 2 is ps3. But I would agree. They do have the best in the market. Uncharted 2 should win though. Because of green screen effect. I would say I would certainly had icing to the cake if they had it in this game.
