For me it would be the guards, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4InFyDvGaM is why.

Seeing Imperial Foresters fight with each other. And, while they fight, hearing them taunt each other with, "I've fought Mudcrabs for fearsome than you!" That always tickles me, in a grisly sort of way.

Sarrah was a prankster and had a grudge against the Skingrad city guards. She would cloak in chameleon and shoot them in the rear with a flare spell. It was hilarious to to see them running around like their pants were on fire.

She also had a little mini-game where she would try to stuff as many staffs as possible into an open top barrel. Sooner or later they would start rattling against each other until they all came flying out of the barrel at once. It was pretty funny to see. Her high score was eight staffs.

Funny this thread is here. I just got home and popped in Oblivion and immediately starting laughing. Lady SAga happens to be in the Bravil Mage's Guild, and everyone is awake and in the main downstairs area, which means they're all "conversating" .

...so it's like the first thing I hear is a couple conversations at once and they were talking about the same thing! They were talking about the same thing (Something to do with Morrowind) but one conversation was slower than the other,

...it's hard to explain. it was funny as hell when I heard it, but trying to explain it makes it not quite as funny! I'm sure all of you present know what I mean, though, right?

For me, at least one thing is fighting archers and getting hit by their arrows, or watching others fight with them. They always end up in such funny places (as a link in my signature shows).

When I was conquering sundercliff watch, this guard was giving me all his taunts. I whacked him and when he died, he decided to fall back onto the rock and open his legs. It left little to the imagination (second link in signature)

I think I know exactly what you mean. It's like the left channel is on a one-second delay from the right channel, except it's two conversations happening on either side. :)

Barb-Ann was in a bandit dungeon, and shot a Dunmer archer with a fairly poor poison (her alchemy is just so-so). In typical fashion, the archer started launching arrows and epithets, while Barb-Ann stood behind a pillar. The last was "Why...won't...you...die?...arghh.)

And sometimes I have to laugh at myself for the way I get into character. Barb-Ann is a wine-and-mead-swilling Nord. Last night she walked out of the Newlands Lodge, and started down the street for the Cheydinhal gate. I suddenly realized that I was unintentionally pressing the A and D (strafe) keys, so she was weaving slightly from side to side!

I literally just had a 2 to 3-minute fight with a Conjurer...firing arrows at him from a distance while he tried to shower Saga with lightning bolts...

HAAA!

YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME DOWN!

AM i SUPPOSED TO BE IMPRESSED.
...OOOF!

That's what cracks me up..the OOOOF! I was laughing my ass off

Then, after the fight is over, all I sudden I notice another conjurer standing just 20 or 30 feet away..

"Heh. I'd better cut down on the ale! Starting to see things I am!"

That did it! That jsut FLOORED me with laughter!! I love this game!

I laugh when Mountain Lions and Wolves get so eager to attack me that they charge down cliffs and kill themselves.

The other thing I love is when a low Responsibility NPC steals food and everyone goes ape [censored].

As a feathered missile from the shadows lethally nails his comrade the other conjuror says one of three things:

1. Must have been the wind.
2. Damn rats. Always scurrying around.
3. I'd better cut down on the ale. Starting to see things, I am.

I've said it before and I'll say it again now. The conversations are what get me immersed, sometimes. Like when I started Lady Saga's game earlier tonight, my mind was thinking about something else. But as soon as I heard the NPC pvssyr, I was cracking up laughing.

Some people get irked and lose immersion because of this. But in my case, the silly conversations are often what get me more firmly into the moment.

Yea, this is true. Actually, whenever a guard (especially a guard) fights a nuisance creature, and then starts talking to it as he's fighting, that's a guaranteed LOL moment for me.

Also when the guards go HURRRR-eee-URRR-eee-URRRR during battle. Only guards do this sound, too.

Actually had a rather funny moment with Endar earlier. Doing the Anvil recommendation quest, only to have an imperial legion soldier come to the rogue mage's defense!!
I laughed.

Friendly vs Rude radiant conversations always made me chuckle. They always go something like this.

F:How are you?
R:I've been better
F:That's too bad.
R:Stop talking!
F:No reason to be rude.
R:So what's the latest news? :stare:

Big Head. Hands-down Big Head.

"Big Head knows a secret about blades.
Spoiler
Point them out, never in. Blade is out, poke poke poke. Kill the grandpa netch."

 Has to be one of my favorite lines. But everything he says is gold.
