Something I Think Would Have Been Cool

Pipboy Editions were all sold out by the time I got around to preorder, so I didn't get one. I made a facsimile by buying a $5.00 armband for my phone and my lovely wife shortened the strap to go around my wrist instead of my bicep.

I didn't really like it. I'm too hard-coded with muscle memory to not just press circle when I want to access the pipboy. I found it to be distracting, but i loved the idea. I like the idea of companion apps that improve the immersiveness or quality of the game. I also really enjoyed Fallout Shelter, and I like base-building sims. And I love the concept of base-building in the game, but find the interface and the implementation, shall we say, frustrating sometimes.

Much as I love the concept of the PipBoy app, and the game of Fallout Shelter, how cool would it have been to get an app that was a base-building sim for the FAllout bases that actually tied into the game. I.E. You build buildings and assign settlers & such in a top down map that renders when you play the game, and you unlock new base locations in the app when you unlock the workshop in the game, or something.

Sorry this post isn't more cogent, my kid woke me up like 5 times last night. There is not enough coffee.

hmm....

its possible... HARD to implement but possible..

biggest issue would be the MASSIVe graphic scaledown required to make viewing a settlement on a phone possible... and then of course the ability to access a save while it is in progress..

it would be nice to be able to manage a defense with your second screen such as a Phone etc instead of going to the location yourself... as well as actively transferring resources etc.
